{quote} I think if would not make sense on a lower time frame. These guys use this kind of analysis for longer term market assessment and their portfolios. They basically say the NDX/SPX spread is over-extended and perhaps it's time to long SPX stocks while reducing exposure to NDX stocks. This could propel any index that looks at SPX as reference. However DAX and SPX are weighted on different sectors, and you have to take that into account.
