thank you. if i am not wrong you're advising a strict money management so wherever the market goes you don't hit your limits in middle of the day.

dude, i ve watched u shit on others here if they were contrarians, or had some questions, etc...cool..now u got funded(congrats) and u lose the account the next day.. now ur all about them beeing crooks and so on and that account metrics stopped workin. ok cool, i dig that. but what that got to do with u breakin the fucking daily limit? is there more to the story that u aren t letting us know> if thee is i apologise, if not..u should ve been able to monitor ur floating pnl without account metrics..if u have open multiple positions at once, atleast calculate the SLs and see what sum they amount 2. i dunno how u trade but atleast tell the hole story. and let s say they did a dirty stophunt like i myself saw happening on same pound pairs a while back and on gold(hopefully they fixed that), that sl that got hit shouldn t be near ur 500 daily loss or whatever u had there. be real and own ur shit,

your daily limit was hit. and as per your statement your broke a rule with less than a dollar. i agree with 1odi respectfully. what does it have to do with account metrix. IMHO nothing.

didn t meant to be an arse, i duuno him, was nothing personal, wish him all the best. my point was another. i thnk in the end he got caught by the euphoria of beeing able to make some money once funded, he pushed it and that happened. can happen to us all, but if u don t stare the man in the mirror and own up to ur mistakes u ll never grow.

Currently on there 2 week demo. Gave myself the target of 5% instead of 10% as only get half the time to do it on demo. Hit it today with 5 days left. Looking forward to taking it for real and becoming a funded trainer like some of those on here. Not used to using the lot sizes I used for this challenge but then iv never had a 50k account to trade. Biggest thing for me is it makes you use proper MM and stop losses on every trade.

Guys question what happen when you loose in real account once you pass the challenge? Can somebody explain that?

If you pass challenge and verification then you wil get a live account. If you break any of the rules, then you will lose the account. If let say, you just lose 1 or 2% at the end of the month, then you can still trade the following month. However, only profit above the original account balance will be paid to you.

Well you are free for your opinions, but im trading on $100k account, and my last profit sharing was good . I dont think you could do the same on a $1k account ..... that would mean making 300% in 1 month on a 1k account .... which is impossible. I think it was worth it, and it depends on your goals in life.......

Sounds absolutely wonderful Mr Zoro but unless you can offer some proof of your great profits - maybe a TE, then I'm afraid it's a lot of hot air!

3% on 100k is $3k , its not " that great profits ", but the point is, that it was mentioned that you prefered to trade on a $1k account...... So my question is , how can you make a basic living on a $1k account. My point is as is with FTMO , you cant do it on a 1k account nor a 10k account. I ll see what i can do to show some proof on my profits.

Firstly you said "my last profit sharing was good" - well that sounds like you're doing well. Now you say you only doing 3% - how are you making a living on that?

Look, my bone of contention with this is the fees which frankly I think are exhorbitant! Yes there is the refund story but no one is getting a refund if they don't make the grade within 30 days. That's a big downer in my book.

And I didn't say that I am trying to make a living doing forex trading. But one can make some nice pocket money. My TE is only viewable by buddies. I started with only 85 Aussie dollars (about 45 quid) - not very much to fork out! Had a bad start, went down to $50 but since then using my new and very simple system (most trading systems that RT's are using are WAY too complicated) and trading only one trading pair thus avoiding all the shark infested waters, I am not doing too badly. Yes not going to pay my rent but will pay for a few beers when the pubs reopen!

You are making this very difficult, and un necessary , and you keep changing the debate.
For me .......3% on $100k is good ,for 1 months payout , as a starter ..... The debate was that you prefer to trade on $1k account..... so 3% on $1k account is $30, can you live off that ?

your doing forex the same way as me. Not doing it for a living, doing it to make some side money. With the power of compounding, a £2 winning trade now could be a £200 winning trade in a few years when account size has grown.

I find this way of looking at it a much less pressurised environment and makes me a better trader.

too many think they can jack there job in and do this for a living. Imagine the pressure of knowing you had to make 4% every single month on a 50k account just to pay your bills.

as it stands for me, if I don’t make 5% this month, then my job still pays me and I have to buy my beer and takeaway out of my own money not the markets

I'm not trying to make anything difficult and I didn't say I preferred to trade a $1K account for a living! Have you got the right person?

It's simply not possible to trade a $1k account for a living anyway. The FTMO idea is good but I just don't like the pitfalls and I prefer to trade my own money

Well said.

It would certainly be interesting to find out how many FTMO Traders have more than a few months trading a 50k or 100k funded account.

It would be nice to have several top performers with their trading analytics visible on the website.

Plenty of improvements could be made but I guess they are relatively young.

To the guy above that said 300% per month off a 1k account is impossible.... No it's not.

The issue though is one of consistency and consecutive 300% MoM well that's another issue altogether.

I d too love to trade my own $100k, but FTMO, offer a good solution for me now....

Ja, i ve been doing it for 10 years, its taken some time to get to a comfortable level. Honestly, i do it as my job as a retail trader. I could look after my parents when they were both ill. In a normal job i could never look after them.
I think you get the picture.
I ve lived abroad and still traded my own account.

One needs to find the correct strategy which works for him/ her.
