Hi everyone, There are probably no more updates for a while, so I thought it would be nice to release the latest version. Auto_Sessions v2.91: - Removed the unintended comment in the Color4 parameter. - Indicator automatically does not show anymore in the Data Window, since this is always empty anyway. Note: The default colors are optimized for a WhiteSmoke background: {image} {file} {file}

Also, Japan has not used Daylight Savings since 1951, whereas Sydney has Daylight Savings so the 2 hour rule cannot be true either.

Yes, I meant to say "always two hours before Tokyo" -- which is true 365.
Two posts down, I agreed that the Market page needs to be changed (which incorrectly shows Tokyo beginning three hours after NY close), and I have notified FF about this.

Right now as I post, it is 12 midnight GMT - now that is something that doesn't change in Reykjavik, they have no DST
So, the market opens at 5 pm New York "local" time, 3 hours ago
3 hours ago it was 7 am "local" in Sydney, now it is 10 am "local" here, and...
It is only just 9 am "local" in Tokyo, market opens, fully 3 hours AFTER Sydney

I think it could be a great session indicator but the market open times need adjustment
Doesn't anyone see this situation?
Nobody using this utility?Mike seems to have gone quiet, maybe madly programming or checking his world globe to see where Tokyo is
Here is the USA Monday close at 5 pm local time (this is the unofficial, generally accepted daily close for Forex Daily candles to make 5 "days" per week)
The FF market clock has Tokyo at 6 am, and from the previous postings, we know that it does open in 3 hours

CODING CHALLENGE:
Use the time zone code (the “Engine”) from Market Panel Clock (White)v2.4, (see previous post) and write graphics code to:
1. Put everything in a separate window.
2. The clocks box could go on the left side of the separate window.
3. Create bars that show the sessions, something like this:
(I used the colors from Forex Market Hours GMT).
4. For Bonus points: To the right of the times on each clock line, put a count down timer showing time until session opens in red and then time until it closes in limegreen.
Note: DO NOT MESS with the Time Zones Code in Market Panel Clock. It works!
The attached indicator is just for demonstrating. It gives code for the horizontal bars in the image. It is really basic otherwise, only works in one time zone, though it can be setup for any time zone manually. I found it and modified it and fixed a couple bugs.
Ramzam suggested something like this in Post 140, 141.
