Not sure who did but i got it from Trade Guider (TG) sometime back, so probably the TG guys did write it ..

well, this is weird, from my broker I have got different volume feed. If I see my chart I didn't see NS bar and the following bar was low volume. In this case i would not make an buy entry, right?

Which broker do you use HiddenGap?

I think I would call that area circled on your chart a Two Bar Reversal. The first interval closes on the low on increasing volume and the second interval closes on its high while closing above the high of the first interval.

Traders are getting Short on the first interval. The close of the second interval above the high of the first, tells us that (Short) traders are trapped.

In addition, there is a widespread Down interval on high volume with the next interval Up (3 and 2 intervals before respectively). So there is some strength where you would want to see it, which could make seeing the TBR easier.

i started off with the usual VSA stuff, tradeguider stuff etc etc. i see you have mentioned petefaders course. i bought both the courses, the scalping one and the main one. the scalping course i didnt find much value. but the main course was excellent. its not only about the setups. But his principles and how he analyzes background, was really good.

As time passed, i found myself gravitating more towards a "purer" wyckoffian approach. The one that is similar to how david weiss analyzes the market. i started dumbing all my VSA indicators, especially the ones by tradeguider. No offence to anyone, TG is good as well, but for me, less is more.

Now to cut a long story short, i have my 2 personal favourites whom i try to replicate as much as possible. one is gary dayton and one is feibel. look it up. for me personally, it doesnt get better than this two for this style of trading. just my 2 cents though. I'm sure everyone has their own method and own style of trading.

An exotic, just watching it for fun. A short setting up. The 1H background dictated direction for me. The 5min is my entry timeframe. we are in a mature trend as of now. breaking it with a good wide spread bar. Notice we had SOT(shortening of thrust) at the channel top. Prices started making lesser progress. that red line is my line in the sand. if prices break through the red line and tests back on light volume i'm short. But have to be alert for a potential spring as well. Lets see how this plays out. If one looks closely, there are a dozen more wyckoff principles here in play. I'll try to elaborate when i have the time, but off to the charts now.

Now, what caused my 1H bias to be short? last 3 bars in the chart. ignore the current bar as it has not closed yet. Almost similar volume, but look at the spread narrowing. and also we are right at a supply area which also happens to be yesterdays high. supply coming in where it should. someone is halting the progress with their selling.

Looking at yesterday's action, price rejected the close of the previous day's highest volume bar which is a good sign that buyers are supporting price.

EU today there was a hidden test right into yesterday's trigger number off the biggest surge in volume (which was also during the euro session).

There was an upthrust 3 bars after the test which I can only imagine how many people were sucked into shorts, but price wasn't able to break yesterday's trigger number and price continued to move up.

I know that you're trading a M5 chart so this probably doesn't matter, but it really bugs me that price didn't respond to the H1 selling that came in on that surge in volume during the Asia session on the 19th.

Plus if you use the daily open, price is still in a solid up trend.

I kinda feel like you were gambling on this trade.

If you look back at the 3 last days and mark off the close of the highest volume bars, you'll see that price hasn't responded to any of these levels. Also go and mark off the biggest surge in volume of the last 3 days and you'll see the same thing, price isn't responding to these trigger numbers either.

The only thing I can see on your chart is there was a test just above the middle bollinger band which tested the close of a very small surge in volume from the 18th. GBP really feels like professionals aren't supporting it.

If you mark off the daily open line, for the last few days almost all of the PA has been happening above the daily open lines which is an up trend.

Thanks, maybe you are right. I have got my 50 pips anyway with my entry (my daily target). the reason for my entry was here (@1odi). Check the lines on pic the volume from the top was my reason for my entry and I think that the market will retest the weak base of the upmovement. So in the next europe/london time we could have 2 scenarios (see my pic). Lets see what the professional will do in europe/london i will just follow it. Maybe i will screenshot my entry later in real time (with a little bit delay because screenshot and upload)

My prediction for EU, I only have long bias, the only question is where the price will start to go up. I dont care so much which area i will just follow it if i see any sign of up movement potential in the europe/london. Lets see, maybe i am wrong but that is just my bias.
