This is not the case!

You must separate the design of your trading system from programming an EA. I do not aim to write a profitable EA, I am to create a profitable system (with pen & paper) and the EA is merely the execution tool for that system. If you look at the free, profitable EAs that I have posted on FF, I'm merely taking proven systems and creating them for the forex market....
Hi Long...i see ur link but seems not seeing profitable EA. Am I look at it wrongly?

The current state of that EA is down about 10% right now. But you have to keep in mind the long term, the EA has been running for less than 2 months. Look at the verified tests out there, this strategy will make money over the long term. Everyone in forex wants to make money right now with every single pip . . . forex is for the Turtles, not the Hares

OK, have sorted the problem with Pipzu. One of the guys in a malaysian forum who decompiles stuff answered my question. The version of Pipzu I am running does not use a magic number to test for its own trades. It just looks to see if ANY trades are open and, if so, doesn't trade.

So I put it on a terminal by itself and it trades quite happily. 4 trades now, all winners. It met the TP of 19 pips within 30 minutes on each trade.

So that's that mystery solved!

Mql5 has quite a few decent one.

Well, I hope you’ll share your performances when it will be done! By the way, I have no idea about the robot trading! That’s why I am comfortable with only manual trading.

Forex trading EAs or robots are made by programmer on the basis of given strategy. And there is no strategy that work in all type of markets. You need to up date your strategy according to the market situation. When you use someone else robot, you are just blindly following someone. Robot is good if you can make it yourself

Hi,

I want to share with you guys my experience with forex robots. I have been trading with forex robots and I have had bad periods as well as really good periods. I think expert advisors are helpful but we have to watch them and if it is necessary we have to take care of the opened positions, this is in rare case but it is required. There is no EA that will make you million with $1000 for short period of time, so it is good to think before using such systems and judging.

What's their duty? To gather statistics, perform trades on orders etc?

Comparing forex robots and trading with knowledge/experience, do you find a difference? Or is one better than the other? I know this probably depends on various factors, such as the extent of experience and strategy, but I'm interested to know.

its a tough question to answer , sometimes can feel there is major difference between two , but practically manual trading or using robot successfully depends on real knowledge and experience.

i thing eas can be worked. but i think eas work only for a few months than the ea have to be optimized with new parameters.

In my humble opinion forex robots do work. I have a robot coded in Python costed me a lot which trades with low leverage and makes decent amount of money. It eliminates the psychological aspect of trading.

BUT I don't think you will be able to earn any bucks from the robots that is for sale on the market (using moving averages and all that mambo jambo). If you have noticed a rhythmic move on the Price action and it repeats then to automate that task might be useful.

I have also bought some EA robots. in the end, they didn't make any profit, while the seller said it was always profitable, until now I think back then I was too stupid.
