I think it would be much wiser to have lower lot size. Plus it is important to have a risk management prepared in advance.

I agree. Capital preservation is your number one priority. Take care of the downside and the upside will take care of itself.

Personally, I used to increase lot size rather than TP. When I was starting out, I didn’t have much experience and knowledge, so I felt safer keeping the TP small. Doubling the lot size from 1 to 2 gave me more meaningful gains without waiting forever for a bigger move. For me, it just made more sense at the beginner stage.

I’d prioritize increasing TP potential only if your strategy statistically supports larger moves; otherwise, increasing lot size is safer only when risk per trade stays fixed.
Doubling lot size with the same stop doubles your risk instantly while extending TP can improve your risk-reward ratio without increasing exposure.
