He said I was trading too much and so I stopped to buy below 580/530 zone, after 20CET..... and watched the Gentlemen , the movie

You are right, different styles.
Its just i learnt that trading open drives don't need vol as it would be too late to react, why it happened questions never ending confusing analysis paralysis force me to just follow the price take your money and run.

ok brixen start buying again.. we'd like to see 10850 today and we don't want to wait for the next 20 million US-unemployed to trigger the next rally

AAhh!, we are always joking here my friend.....until we have a loss, we can keep have jokes & fun.

Anyway they bought slight above 10500 zone DAX yd late evening and 23600 DOW JONES and now they want their reward.....maybe more next, we'll see.

I'll offer you my view on this.

On open there is usually a rebalancing affecting potentially large positions and portfolios that operate on multiple markets. Also algo trading comes online and it takes a little time for the market to stabilize. This means some algos are erratic at the open and there might be pushes in one or both directions that are often meaningless and just technical.

For those parties a few hundred ticks gained or lost on open is no issue. They gain thousands on multiple contracts per day. For you and me it may mean a big gain or loss but it's mostly random. So I wait until I see the market is stable and that bigger players have a direction and intent.

But to everybody it's own.

Thanks for your insights, all those why it happened theories don't need for profitable trading . I have done a extensive back test and research on this matter almost 2.5 years trading the open for NQ,DAX,and DOW.
My results shows simple open range BO works without all those theories and jargons. Why bother make it complicate. 10 years of back tests and forward live test of 3 years solid proof behind this decision .
Why am i still struggling is the execution and poor money management.

Study and analysis always good, but too much study and too much analysis probably not.
Anyway there are so many way to see the things going on, back to basic and make it simple maybe the only way to survive here.
But I'm not a teacher here, only a survivor!
