Hello. I am a new (junior member) but want to share some some information. I hope this is the right place as I am not able to start my own thread (yet). I have used Metastock before but am using MT4/MT5 now because of its widespread availability and a much broader community. While using Metastock there is an indicator called CCI Equis. It's a little different from the MT4/5 CCI indicator. In an older version of MetaStock, the Equis company made a mistake in their CCI calculation, but people liked it so much that Metastock decided to leave it in the software and called it "CCI-Equis." I believe CCI as per the MT4/5 version is the original, and CCI-Equis is a different beast, but one people seem to prefer. I wonder if it is a worthwhile exercise to compare the two and see what all the hype is about? Here is the METASTOCK formula for the CCI - Equis for any coders out there who might like to give it a try. I'd love to hear your results.

Thanks for the replies. I checked and found in the journal that alerts are being sent now after doing some tweaking from what @Phylo suggested. But I've not received any notifications since 6:26PM today for some reason. Journal says:

Notifications: failed send request [0] notify.mql5.net:443 failed.

I tried from other machines and VPSes in different locations. Got similar errors:

Notifications: failed send request [0] send request failed [12002]

Was working prior. So now I have to wait until I can get notifications again before testing once more. I am confused though - because I can see where it's showing in the journal that the notification was not sent now. This time I can see that it's because of some failure - I'm assuming either my broker or MQL notify is giving issues. But will see.

*EDIT*
Forgot to mention that the server can't be pinged. Most likely it's down - so waiting on MQL to fix that.

You're in the land of Win32 API error codes now. Google "send request failed 120002" and see what you get. It is a timeout error.

it seems there is still a bug. it only works on first subwindow.
I will check it out more so it works on all subwindows.

Update 1: I fixed bug and now, it works in any subwindow.

Hi,can you modify my ea. Section that need modify is at stop loss. Default is using stop loss from mt4, need change to clicking manual. Trigger for ready clicking is 5 points (5 digit mt4). Ex: buy at 1.50000 when price at 1.50005 ready to click when price go down to 1.50001. The stop loss point already random, 1 or 2 or 3 point, no need to change the random. Thx.

Yep. Server was probably down. Now that it's up and I try to ping it doesn't work - so the server is blocking echo requests. But it came back up and I managed to tweak the settings based on what was discussed before - so getting notifications now. Thanks very much!

I'm with Oanda ( maybe not much longer after today) and last weekend they changed to a "new" server -4 instead of -1, -2
I was already on -4 & had no problems prev
yesterday/today still no updates -- hopeless service
this Buttons indie worked well prev but now won't after the change
they said that there would be no suffix on the data server ( prev -4)
Q1 I can't get it to work with -4 or 0 -- (for no suffix I figured use 0 )

Q2 prev using the ALL symbols command-- it worked fine-- no need to type all symbols in
now only a few come up -- think it's connected to the suffix problem

Q3 for me the "time" line is not used -- could it be made unnecessary
knowing very little, I tried to comment it out -- didn't work

I'd appreciate your help

Guys, Can anyone make some changes to this so it can be applied correctly on Gold

The problem with Gold is that the day starts at 1am while forex starts at 12am. Now the H4 is not overlay not displaying properly

I wonder if someone can add an option to type in what time the indicator starts drawing the overlay candles.

Also it would a bonus if you can allow the candles to be drawn up to yearly candle =)
