this is indi it has arrows ı want when arrow appears it open entry and when arrow appear opposite side it close and open new entry
and sl tp it will have and it will open any time frame

Compare it with this.
Same input but the Beast Super Signal.ex4 rarely repaint unlike Breakout signal.ex4 .

How about I put them both in the EA so we can select between the two and we can see which performs better. I'll do this later. It's a sunny day finally and I want to get outside. I'll post it here later

I'm trying to figure out what buffer the arrows are in. I'm also seeing the signal give alerts for buy/sell but an arrow does not always appear. It only appears sometimes. Is this correct?

Also, if you know the buffer numbers for the arrows it would help a lot.

ı use it h1 timeframe and it doesnt give me signal when ım looking at chart at see the arrow ı open entry

ı dont know the buffer numbers sorry but if you can do this ea it will be perfect ı think

Okay I can get the data from the buffers.

There's 2 different situations with the arrows. In both cases the arrow is always painted on the start of a new bar:

  1. The arrow is painted on the previous bar and remain painted.
  2. The arrow will paint on the current bar but disappear at the end of the bar.

Do we want to open a position on both cases, or only for the bars that remain painted?

Here's an initial version. All it does is opens a buy/sell at the indicator with the specified stop loss and take profit. The indicator is selected as an input and the indicator parameters can be set through the EA inputs.

When I run it in back test it looks like it misses the arrows but the arrows are only painted at the end of the back test. If you also run the indicator and compare when the EA takes a buy/sell you'll see it lines up with when the indicator generated arrows. I think the indicator is visually applied to the chart at the end of the back test which causes this.

Let me know what you think. This is a crude first version. We can add trailing stop, varying lot sizes, etc.

It'll work on the symbol and time frame of the chart it is applied to.

Hi,

I am a rookie in this platform and platform did not allow me to create my own thread. however i have been working on an indicator and i am missing one functionality. I am trying to write MQL4 code to determine if the candle that hits the trend or horizontal line is a bear or a bullish. i have the below code, it will work on the first go but fails the second time. E.g if a resistance line is hit by a bullish and breakout indicator will signal it that line was touched by a bullish candle but if it decides to reverse as a result of a false breakout with a bearish candle the indicator will still signal it as a bull. If any of you knows how to assist or have to the proper code for this i will highly appreciate it.

candle= "Bull";

candle= "Bear";

You are comparing two different bars: 0 and 1. They could have widely varying differences in prices. Instead use the close and open of the same bar to determine bear or bull candle.

I see one of my problem was that i failed to understand that the indexes 0 and 1 was representing current candle and previous candle. I Did the following as you advised, i tested it and it worked,

if(Open[0] > Close[0])
direction = "Bear";
if(Open[0] < Close[0])
direction = "Bull";
