But the market moves where the orders lead it. The concept of freedom is extemely relative!

Fair point! broad predictions can be powerful and expectations are very real

I find predicting micro aspects to be the trap, but then again i trade on short time frames

You say itll trend up and retrace down
The market will retrace down and trend up

In the end it was all the same. Not worth predicting IMO

i myself find it very hard to form an expectation about longer term, e.g. even: where will dax be this afternoon? while in M1-timeframe, for example, i find it easier to form an expectation (with a hit rate higher than mere coin tossing).

i try to think in scenarios, for example: here's a round number that will probably(...) act as a support. scenario 1: it will act as a support, scenario 2: price will break through (or scenario 3: price ranges there with a span of 10-20 p).
maybe i find scenario 1 more probable (because of context, experience etc.). then i must know, how i can see in real time which of the two tradeable scenarios unfolds. must know how to act as early as possible. must know how to see and act immediately, if the scenario breaks down and i see that my expectation was wrong.
so in my opinion, it's about thinking what might happen and trying to assign probabilities to the various possibilities. of course it's all vague..
