Yes both with default Hurst Period settings, which is Swinger(mmm, 2, 34) and SwingerDirection(mmm, 17, 34, 68, 136) where "mmm" is the time frame. I will change up the 60min Dual Swinger for today's test.

That's quite interesting that describes a strategy very similar to the manual Pullback strategy I have used for intraday trading, the main difference is the time frames used (intraday: 1hr trading chart and daily anchor chart). That entry system is very similar to Guppy's 3 bar count back entry idea and the trailing stop strategy is the same as Guppy's which I believe he called the three bar count back trailing stop exit and can be used on any time frame, so it is also possible to base the trading strategy on Guppy's GMA curves instead of 8/13/21 ema's, which I have also traded manually. I don't believe it matters if you use Guppy's GMA or just 8/13/21 ema with Anchor chart the principles are basically the same.

Trend Following strategies generally work better on longer TFs.

and nothing wrong with trading longer TFs,

I want to do a combination of both.... have a few long term strategies (probably will be trend following) and several short term strategies (mean reversion or scalping)

I just want a good mix of everything. Thats why Im researching short term trading strategies so much. They give a lot of signals in 24 hours, and therefore a lot of opportunity.

I see the FX market as a big river of money flowing in front of me. I just need to figure out how to dip and scoop some of it on a regular basis. Im willing to scoop more frequently with a small cup (even if the cup has a few holes). I know it can be done (there are people out there that do this very successfully). I just need the right tools to develop a cup I can use..

Well, the scalping idea shown did not do very well last night, this is often the case when something may look good on charts but when put into code with no watchful eye of the trader does not do well.

A lot of noise in lower time frame charts that automation has trouble dealing with.

My only question is are some of those entries really valid. I believe for a signal to stay valid the price could not pull back passed the 21ema (blue line), this would invalidate/cancel the entry of the signal candle. The idea of this scalping technique is to trade on a steep part of the trend, so if price is going passed the 21ema then the trend is too flat. From the strategy video it looks expected that the price bounces immediately after the signal candle.

also, testing for a single day is not meaningful enough (but this you know already), so please test for at least a week and let us know the results.

In both the link you sent and the link I added above he talks about the 3 mov averages (8,13,21) on the M5 that need to "Fan Out" before you look for a trade to set up.

I think this is quite crucial.

That shows what I pointed out about the trade is cancelled when price moves below 21ema. The aim of this strategy is to pick off high velocity trades in a strong trend.

Thanks, will try this out next week as I'm still testing the Trend Rider (4hr) with Swinger Exit (1hr).

That exit only uses 1 Ball so what ever you set it at is where it will exit, it you leave it at 68 it will exit on Ball 68, no other Balls matter as it only uses one.
