The serological study (what I have been calling "antibody polling") suggests that possibly as many as 50-85 times as many people have been infected with the novel coronavirus as we have documented in confirmed cases. That would mean 34M - 58M cases in the US, with the vast majority being asymptomatic. It would imply that the case fatality rate is possibly under 0.1%. The study has not been through peer review yet. It was conducted in Santa Clara County, CA.

i am getting into AJ, more exciting than EU... EU I have a long term love hate relationship but food for thought... EU has yet to decline to multi year lows... I even see 1.0278 and 1.0050 so I expect the previous 1.0460 will not hold though we need to see how the market plays out and whether conditions change...

As before: 1.0638 will break imo

And here is an AUDJPY chart... Retest the broken trendline and its overbought so it might attack 69.00 again otherwise i will look for sell opportunities unless it spikes and closes higher... I reckon back to 64.90 first

Why do you think the AJ is better than the EU? I am curious if the AJ possibly trends cleaner, respects S/R and trend lines better. Or your system just fits the AJ better. Is this just recently due to coronavirus throwing the market into a panic or have you witnessed this over a longer period of time?

I think this is what widespread serological testing is going to show: Infection rates are much larger than previously estimated, mortality rates will go down, most people infected (over 1/2 anyway) are asymptomatic.

The French aircraft carrier case is a microcosm. No possibility to practice social distancing on a ship. 2,000 total crew, 1,000 tested positive, 20 were hospitalized, only one in intensive care. The results surely would be worse in a captive population of elderly people, but ok.

In time, probably 1/2 of everybody on Earth will be infected and most will never know it.

Nobody really talks much about the real underlying problems: 1) Overpopulation. The more a population's density increases, the more it is susceptible to disease. This is true of any species and is what probably collapsed the Mayan and other overly successful civilizations in the past. Overpopulation combined with ever-increasing mobility sets the stage for more pandemics. 2) Modern humanity is at war with Nature. You can't shit in your own bed for too long without dire consequences. Mankind is a part of Nature - it can't win any such war without killing itself. And Nature will fight back...

no telling what viruses are lying in those glaciers formed millions of years ago. As they melt, dead animals will defrost. Some potentially with ancient viruses. Eaten by modern wildlife. Then transferred to man. Nature has always curved the population regionally. With disease, droughts, floods, weather, volcano, meteor, darwinism (Hey Bubba,hold my beer), or whatever. We all saw the video of the little boy, with the fly on his face. World travel just speeds up the disease. Unknown diseases to kill man, is incubating in animals all over the world. Another disease is coming. The contact with the right animal, at the right time, is coming.

Man already has the fatal disease called ''aging.'' It kills some slower than others, at 100% rate of outcome.
