{quote} u are wrong, FP has a cysec division. if your trade statements are coming from fpmarkets.eu domain, you are unknowingly already under cysec

I am aware that FP Markets have a Cysec license as well.

However my account is under their ASIC license as i have a leverage of 1:500. With Cysec the leverage is restricted to 1:30 unless you are a professional client due to ESME regulations.

If I had short, then I would have been having good trade and they would not pay me right profit ?

ok later discused with others, they say its spot and futures markets, so I dont understand how those futures work very well. Just know that there is contract to buy in the future.

I think FPMarkets is good and security is high because each post requires an OTP code. It is almost identical to ICMarkets. spread is very low and has ASIC license.

Hi Guys,

Any idea if FP Markets accept clients from India? And if yes, what funding options do they offer for clients from India?

Thanks in Advance.

I have been looking into new brokers to join as I am from the UK and wanted more leverage and therefore have to avoid applying through FCA. I looked into FPMarkets and they seemed good. The only thing that stood out for me when I compared them to ICMarkets was that ICMarkets seem to be a lot more popular and so in my eyes meant they would be less likely to do anything dodgy? I also looked at Fusion Markets which is very similar to those two as well. Pepperstone is another one. You could signed up with one of their other regulated applications.
I am signing up to one of the above this week. Right now, for me, it's looking like ICMarkets.

I'm afraid You have the exact opposite scenario. Because they HAD a bigger client base, they thought they are invisible and started to do dodgy stuff which got them in trouble with ASIC.

If i were you i would stay away from ICM, i was a long term trader with them and moved my account away from them for this reason. Another factor was that their services started to deteriorate a lot over the last year.

I currently have my major accounts with FP Markets and overall happy with the experience.

Yeah that did also cross my mind. However, I have been running some test and ICMarkets seems to have the slower trade execution but quite some time. So I have chosen to sign up with FPMarkets and Pepperstone. Pepperstone seems to be the fastest with execution, while FPMarkets seems to be a tad cheaper on commission.
I'm going to use both and then determine who I want to settle with. Personally, I do like using Ctrader more than Metatrader for my trades but Pepperstone charge slightly more commission and the trade execution is marginally slower than Metatrader.

I currently trading with FP Markets Raw spread (ECN) account. Their Trading conditions are pretty solid, executions are pretty fast and there has been no platform freezing or related issue even when the markets have been crazy recently.

Regarding the spreads, I've traded with a lot of similar brokers in the past, However FP Markets definitely have some of the lowest spreads currently. Check a screenshot that i took a while back showing EU spread from my live account with them, also you can track the spreads directly in Brokers section in Forexfactory.

Compared to other brokers, how is it with FP Markets and slippage with the EURUSD? If anyone trades the EURAUD it would be interesting to know how it is with that pair too.

Edit: To be more specific with liquidity in mind, I am wondering if someone have noticed an increase in slippage when increasing trade size, and at which levels was this noticed.

Thanks.

Has anyone used a credit card to deposit via PayPal with FP Markets and if so, was this considered a cash advance by your bank/card provider?

I realize they have their proprietary Iress platform with DMA execution mode and the number of more than 1000 stocks, and maybe the FIX API and of course a fee may apply on FPMarkets.

I am looking to fund my account as well using a Credit-card. Was wondering if you tried depositing using your CC with PayPal or direct CC deposit, did it go through?

I am looking to open an account with FP Markets, was wondering if we can get to choose the regulation where the account can be opened. Can i opt to open under their ASIC entity? or is it by default CYSEC?

Also any idea how long does it usually take to open an account with them?

Fpmarkets is a good broker, I still got an account. But they do not have server in London or in asia, so ping time is way too high, my EA cannot work with such lag, so did a withdrawal a while ago, will see how it goes.

May try again later, for manual trades....

I thought I post here about their payment. They executed withdrawals within I guess 24 hours. There are some fee's(small) cut which I don't like But may be it's neteller that did it(I use neteller.)

May try again this broker at a later time.
