Addiction to painkillers are probably a bigger problem then drugs from mexico in the US. Just ask a doctor and those drugs are already inside and manufactured in US.

Would I have to leave the house? Hmmmm...I don't usually trade the individual names. Might not be too hard to figure out the strong from the weak hands.....from the comfort of my virus-proof bunker.

Lots of speculation re: Trump's mtg Fri w/ oil company execs. Would Trump side with his mentor Putin and put tariffs on SA oil? Something is cooking....or maybe it's an empty pizza box. I have lots of cheap USO call spreads (not the smartest trade) looking for a wti rebound by late summer. I might stick my pinkie toe in some names. OXY at least has liquid options, and is a Carl Icahn + Warren Buffet project.

Buffet is in OXY at ~$50/share and Icahn in at ~$40/share......you can buy Sep $35 calls for about $0.35/share and play with the big boys....

Doing rig count is old.. I wonder if there is a shale rig count index? I have a feeling you are right.. Does the sale of equipment also include the mineral rights on the properties? If not is there a property map of mineral rights? Using satellite imaging you can see when start and stop of work begins and ends also size of the rig would give quanity rendered for refinement. so predicting revenue of said companies would be almost a given without the need for quarterly reports..

I am too stupid to dig into those kinds of details. I rather look for events to trade off of. My hunch is the Friday WH meeting will be pushing oil up from (today) til then, maybe well into next week , depending on what they pronounce. It may be short lived. So I will be buying calls tomorrow, looking to leg into some long-dated spreads for little to no risk....

/CL is up $1.82 overnight so far...
