Sorry, I did miss this.

This is the same issue reported by @pantera1, and it has now been fixed (will be posted shortly). It was including the first candle of the day (on whatever timeframe you were using) to set the range.

Hi Paul,

I ran EA on 26 pairs and noticed couple of things.

1- in two pairs out of 15 pairs it opened 0.02 lots instead of 0.01 while setting are similar for all.
2- Info Panel was showing not in Wed. for some pairs while other pairs had no issue with timing, some times panel shows high spread even though spread was lower at that time, both issues were fixed after refreshing EA, not sure it was just info or Ea acutely won't take trade during that warnings.
3- As already said in another posts, Expert log shows error of "Cannot set timer".

Other than it is working perfectly, BE and Trailing works fine too so far. Thanks again for great job.

Hi, The timer is used to refresh the information panel (to avoid using too many resources on your PC), so if that hasn't been set for some reason, then the information panel won't be being updated.

The information panel is for information only (I have it turned off on my VPS), and the EA should be doing all of its monitoring in real time, regardless of what the panel says.

I am not aware of any reason as to why the timer cannot be set. Could you show me a screenshot of the error in the log please? I'm looking specifically for the error number - I ought to be able to work out the reason from that.

EDIT: I've just found out that setting timers can sometimes fail on slower PCs, or PCs using up a lot of resources (e.g. running lots of EAs). I've made a small change that repeatedly attempt to set the time until it eventually succeeds. There will be errors in the log, but the EA should eventually set the timer.

PaulDV, just to confirm; I was indeed using the H4 time frame. As per your suggestion, I tried both the indicator and the EA on the H1 time frame and can confirm, both worked exactly as they should.

Here is the EA slightly modified to make it easier to display the stopLoss in the parameter table; there is no longer any need to put the minus sign (-) in front of the number and this number will now be the one which will correspond to the % of the range which will be subtracted if it is a buy or added if it is a sell.
Example: previously for a 55% stop it was necessary to display - 45.
Now just display... 55.

I am running GU, EU, UC, AU, NU, EA, EN. As of right now I have 6 open trades and i'm sitting at -0.93% in DD. I had GU already get stopped out using trail stop. I made +0.10% with GU. I'm using 1% risk per pair with a 15% entry, 50% SL and 1:1 TP. I'm moving SL to BE at 50% and trailing from there. I'm still working on the trail stop. I won't open trades after Thursday and I'll close all open trades a couple hours before market close on Friday.

this is error
2020.03.25 07:11:54.958 MoTuBo_EA AUDCHF,H1: cannot set timer (5), it is showing when adding EA to chart. not repeating later.
Is timer cause of some charts showing that Wed. started and some not (Panel info)?

Have you figured out why is it opening larger lot size? explained in previous post.

You should try using various trail stops and tp's and sl's and entries etc and keep stats. Let us know what you come up with. Unless your coding an EA or checking the function of an ea in accordance to the rules of the strategy....I would just stop wasting your time with the backtesting and put that effort into note/stat taking and forward testing.

Yes, as explained, the timer will be the reason for the information panel not showing the correct values.

Re the lot sizes - what is your account size, and are you using money management? If so, then the lot size is calculated based on your account balance and the lot sizes will vary by currency pair.
