DislikedHi guys, Please excuse my English or my way of wording, English is not my first language. Interesting thread, I've ran PaulDV's EA for some backtesting (thanks Paul and others for your work). Apparently the EA works very well since the virus stepped in, but any backtest before that gives mixed results. I'm not saying you guys should, but I will put in some real money and run this EA for a while for some gains. My feeling is this system will be very short lived. Otherwise, I think this could work to place pending orders and for those that...Ignored

DislikedPaulDV, thanks for the great EA! It appears that when I select a SL that's greater than 50%, the SL actually gets smaller (tighter). As an example, if I set a SL of 55%, the "long" SL is higher in the range box and the "short" SL is lower in the range box. If I select a SL of 45%, the SL's reverse and appear as I thought they would have in the 55% case. Is this just a matter of semantics or do I misunderstand how the "% of SL" works? Thanks in advance for the clarification.Ignored
DislikedHowdy, Erebus guided me to this thread, and his passion for this trading method was over 9000 - I checked it out and decided to make some tools for him ready for when he gets his computer going. For me - it is 2 birds with one stone, as I have an extensive trade library that I needed to do some work on, so I used this trading strategy as a "guinea pig" for developing the library - since it is nice and mechanical. There seems to be some EA's n things being passed around in this thread, so I am a bit late to the party, but to my understanding most...Ignored
Disliked{quote} hi paul, really thanks for the ea, before i tried to backtest and i nopticed that if you put no tp, the ea never closes positions, is it possible to add thie option to close on friday? so every week we could have an opportunity. i saw that your screens have towo tp, but i can't figure it out how to add other tps, because having a rr 1/1 is a bit short for this kind of system and if i put rr 1/2 then it doesn't close the position on friday but it awaits till the price reaches or the sl or the tp. then an other thing is: i can't understand...Ignored
Disliked{quote} I was asking a while back (in the EURJPY M15 system 80%+ forum) to have one of the EA there modified so that it only opened a trade when it closed outside the box. I wanted it to only open though when the candle closed a certain (not to large) level above or below the box. Maybe that's why some of your previous trades didn't work (I think the thinking was it should only be traded if the close wasn't to far outside the box high or low). Would be great if you could keep it in as an option and with a setting to only open at a close within a...Ignored

DislikedMoTuBo_EA Version 1.03 Some minor fixes. Note: if you have already downloaded version 1.02, you don't need to download this version unless: You want to use the factor of the stop loss to trigger the break even. You want to use a stop loss ratio other than 50%. You just want to... Changes: Fixed the break even "Factor of Stop Loss" function. Corrected the stop loss calculation when using a ratio of anything other than 50%. As always, any feedback is gratefully received. {file}Ignored
DislikedHello everyone For cases where volatility is deemed too high on Monday for example, here is the modified EA to take into account only the day before for the calculation of the range, such as Tuesday or Wednesday ... according to an idea of redfan. {file}Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks for the suggestion. I've taken a look at the thread, and it's a very similar strategy to the one being used here. That said, I'm not sure how effective the feature you mention would be, and given my experience with using a break and close, I'm not too keen on spending more time on it right now. But I'll bear it in mind for a possible addition in future.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Hi Paul, I have tried your latest EA version 1.03, and I am still having problems with the Breakeven. Whether it be BE method of 'pips profit' or 'Factor of SL', whenever the BE is hit on the strategy tester, it will 'close at stop' and stop backtesting. Also, I must admit I don't really understand how the BE works. Is it different from a trailing stop? Please help.Thank you so much again for your hard work!

Disliked{quote} Hi transmat, Thanks for the EA. I test your EA and 2 different TP setting . One is close all trades on Friday But one did not close all trades that already triggered, it only close pending orders. Is that a bug?Ignored
Disliked{quote} Ah, thanks, that is a bug (which I have now fixed) and will be ok in the next version. For now, simply set the "lock in pips" value to something othr than zero and it should work OK. Break even and trailing stop ae two different things. but they can be used together. Break even, is where you move the stop to your entry point (thus breaking even) when the price is a certain amount in profit (either in fixed pip value or a factor of the initial stop loss). You can slo tell it to lock in profit by specifying how many pips profit to move the...Ignored
