Welcome Regal2k. There is much to learn here but there is nothing easy or mechanical about methods posted in this forum. Consistent success is indeed the holy grail. It is not something that comes easily or quickly. The main theme of this thread is the study of cycles and understanding how the cyclic nature of all and everything on this planet can help one see beyond the immediate fear and greed see saw that afflicts so many traders.

The main thing you can do for yourself is back test ideas relentlessly. Try to discover patterns and truths that resonate with you. When you truly feel a certain set up will work, (and one can only gain this from constant study and back testing), only then should you enter the market. I wish I could offer a short cut path to success, but I don't know that one exists.

I use Timing Solution software to help find the most dominant cycle that can predict what the market might do. I concentrate on 1 week intervals using 30 minute data exported from MT4. Don't hesitate to ask questions, we are here to help.

If you are hardworking enough then your mother has a good son.

Study basic programming principles.
It tests massively the stock market.
This study job will take several years.
Be patient.

Fixed up. The problem was Admiral's MT5.
I upload this seasonal indicator. It only counts seven years. Could you modify it to count from 1900? If so, the annual average could be seen with the maximum possible time.

The DJIA can now bounce back from the dead cat. But it is most likely that the 18,000 points will be sought before November.
The Hurst indicator indicates that it is out of its cyclical trend. Different thing are astrological events.

I appreciate the respect in all of your response.
First general information on myself.

been trading for about 3 years, i believe it was 2017 when I was introduced to the forex market. Was taught trend lines, fibonacci, rsi, macd i guess call them the first tools for my trading toolbox. started to actively trade btc when it was on its downfall via bitmex and trading on margin(why did i do this to myself -__-) but no real set up or strategy and i eventually blew up too many accounts to name. I read somehwere it says 10% strategy 30% Position SIzing 60% Psychology and I feel like my psych is where im trying to pinpoint my growth primarily. I would initially ask what would be the timeframes to primarily trade on ? I have felt if you were indifferent to the markets and let them do what you know is inevitable in terms of for example how Hurst Cycles have these almost predictable pre-concieved natural occurences that all you have to do is be patient and almost keep a zen mindset of not overtrading and be too active.

I also notice how the astrological side of things can work as a surgical like accuracy up to a point that by doing the extra research and like Suryananda mentioned to learn some computer programming and mathematics side of it you can really build a lot of confidence. I have a hard time not being able to fully commit my psychological discipline on tasks that will enhance my abilities in those types of fields of thought and that is where i feel dishonorable. Guy like ya'll are a true inspiration because of the years of quality experience and quality information that you have accumulated are not easy things to commit the mind too if you lack a certain level of interest and what i call pursuit of knowledge that is true and rare to grasp. Mercury went into retrograde on the exact day that the Dow Jones Index began its decline, february 13th. Mercury is in its post shadow until the 31st i believe, so i wouldn't look for a rebound that isn't a dead cat bounce but I cannot say because i don't understand exactly what mercury retrograde post shadow while all other variable that an ephiramus could explain are in motion at this point in time. There is so much shit information out there and i donn't want to waste time and effort in trying to internally conceptualize stuff that isn't good fruit so to speak.

Position sizing habits i feel i have accumulated from trading on margin have left a bad imprint in my trading psych, wanting to fight the fear of not having the money to handle my actually life is looming, the battle of the greed that has overwhelmed weeks of trading in a good zone or a profitable manor(there have been good cycles through 3 years but i am humble and honest enough to know it hasn't amounted to anything of profit over time and something needs to change at my fundamental trading core.)

I don't look for pity i just look for a place of discussion and knowledge exchange beause i am a student of this art and i respect what it is to not only survive but thrive in practicing the right execution of doing the right things and getting the right information.

What you tell is the story of someone having fun gambling randomly. The winning secret is statistics. But that's a lot of work to do and it's not fun.

MT4 max data capacity is till 01.01.1970.

However the time is a variable in this indicator.
Just adjust it.

The best news is that you have your whole life ahead of you. If you focus on making a steady living in the near term, sadly the statistics are not in your favor.

This indicator does not usually take all the years of the graph. Example in the DJIA does not take its value more than seven years.
That indicator follows the official calendar. Which is almost the same as the geocentric solar course.

Raymond Merriam's weekly astro analysis is definitely worth a read this week... The roiling markets, the Covid-19 and the Capricorn Stellium are all discussed. Read it here.

Hi, thanks for keeping the thread active. I wonder which one do you choose for real trading. I know you like to share many views, but don't you confuse yourself? From my point of view, this week is only upside, or it will close higher than opened.

I only see downside this week. Jupiter in Capricorn has been very important since Dec. 3rd... A Spectrum study helps confirm. These are my main tools.

I disagree, cycles are fixed and mechanical. Yes, there are a lot of cycles out there, some work now and then and then they stop working. It just means you had the wrong cycle.
Gann spoke of 3, 5, 7, 10, 20, 30, 50, 90 and 100 year cycles, fixed cycles.

These work for everyone, not just individuals. The only personal cycle you should consider is your own horoscope. Trade only to your "God given" skill and on lucky days.

There are thousands of different cycles:
Astrological, Hurst, Gann, Elliot, Fourier transforms, Goertzel transforms, Fisher transforms, spectral analysis, etc..., but most of these cycles are random appearances. Only rigorous statistics can distinguish what is random and what is deterministic.

It all depends on what time frame you are looking at. Cycles ebb and flow, they change, they invert. If they were that "fixed", no one would need to be thinking about any of this. Everyone would be infinitely wealthy.
