for my point of view, Pepperstone is a quite good broker!
(I worked 10 years on the FX industry at FXCM, OANDA, FIXI, JFD Brokers... so I know the industry)

If you choose Pepperstone, the Razor Account is the best option.
The spread on EUR/USD is good and commission are competitive.

The EU people can choose the Australian Branch. The leverage is ok there.
I had some bad experiences with Pepperstone especially on Bitcoin and DJ 30 : the execution is worse than Axitrader.... I closed my account at Pepperstone and i opened one at Lmax. It is true at Lmax you wait a lot to confirm your account, but you can chose New Zeeland branch. Is also ok!. And the deposit is $1000 for MT4. Search on Google how to do.

Not sure than more leverage is a good thing.. but I can understand
I tried with Australian brokers but most of the time, they do not accept anymore EU clients.

Pepperstone asked me to open an account with UK/EU branch.
I had also a look to exotic broker in BVI... and big surprise, they do not accept anymore EU clients as well !!!

Amana Capital have Malaysian branch that can offer 100:1
But with IP Address you will be rediected to UK website.
(you must to have the direct link for..)

Avg EURUSD spread is fairly stable at 0.0 - 0.3 in session. But remember, its an ECN broker so spreads can widen at roll overs. Shouldn't be more then a few pips though.

I have a live account with Pepper stone, the reason I've not stated trading with them is because the price movements in their demo is very different from the real account, I find this inconsistency suspicious!

i talked with them prices show in chart is for razor accounts so i have to add or minus 0.05 to know real bid and ask prices or download indicator for that not use normal ask and bid prices that come with mt4 .... yes i noticed demo is different but almost thats in all brokers they give you very perfect conditions in demo and when you start real you see the reality ... i care more about real and i always compare with other brokers

Pepperstone is a great broker. I traded with them for several years. Execution and spread are almost unmatched anywhere else. You can use normal (high leverage) if you are in EU, only if you apply to be treated as a professional client. There are 3 requirements (you have to meet 2 of them) but in overall I don't know why so many people go for the highest leverage possible. This is a suicide trading in all means

Don't be so sure about that. With a lot of bad review and comments about Pepperstone lately, maybe the company is having problems already. Review about not honoring withdrawals on Fpeacearmy.

I'm starting to have doubt, and will move my business to another company.

From Australia my advice stay clear of Pepperstone and anything to do with MetaTrader. They offer cTrader although still yet to make any real money with them. They have a tie up with TooolsTrades they have a trading signals setup( return may be better, I dont know -they use Metatrader). Made a better return with Go Markets whereby after one London opening in Septemberish '19 I made $1000 in 45 minutes on the DAX and then squandered it all. I have the distinct ability to influence the markets as whenever I trade the market moves immediately against me or definitely within 5 minutes, its uncanny crap. Yeah Leverage is not a good thing, I think 100 or 200 is more than enough , -100. There are brokers out there that Gouge on trades, spreads, slippage everything, fuck with your margin anything to get your capital.

My advice on trading Metatrader, is buy small dont' play all your cards, buy or sell at a Lng term Fibonacci level. So the recent high would have been good for indices for example. KISS will use an EA going forward yet to find an EA or indicator that works 100%. Use the margin you make trade. Perhaps open 2-3 orders after about 50 pips. Then things will go pear shaped , you will have kitty and the margin.

Trading euro with them fine.
I opened 3 lots buy spot crude - and price stuck miraculously at the bottom at 9.54 ))) while wti now 26.27 !!!!
they dint allowed to open trades on wti any more, recommending me spot crude, saying it is the same with very little difference in price- you can compare highs and lows on both daily charts and judge it yourself.
I think wti traded on exchange while spot crude they can put any price.

Dear all,
I was thinking to open new thread about this pepperstone but saw this thread...
Yesterday my account is washed up with pepperstone and I have heard enough that its my mistake to over leverage...
---------------
Yesterday I placed two SELL trades which washed my account.
My account balance was 1200usd
1st I opened 2 lots sell at 22.55.
Later I added 3 lots at 23.20.
At 23.50 I was comfortable in good profit.
At 23.55 candle fell as per my analysis, you can see in picture also... I was so happy but at same time I received margin call... And trades closed with 1200usd loss and showing spread of like 50pips.
-------------------
Now everyone knows its bigger lot and risky trade and no margin of error... But what I would like to know is that:
1. Should I trust and keep same broker because I want to deposit big money, other alternative is icmarket coz in my country I dont have much brokers.
2. Second thing I want to ask is that what If I had placed stoploss on 10 pips then it will hit stoploss or that spread spike when asian market open can still wash my account. Maybe they will call it slippage.
------------------
Last but not least ... exact same thing happened with GBPJPY and pepperstone on May-2019 ... It killed many people account with big down spike but too many people shouted and they refunded the money ... there was discussion at that time on forex-station 470 pip slippage hits pepperstone.
