Swede, Davit was Right. I had forgotten that Low Life Human Trash still exist on this Earth. Sad for them. Meanwhile, I am happy the good patrons of this thread had stayed around.

Hi Swede/DM,

I've watched the Jenkins 6.5 hour video and really enjoyed it. I was particularly interested in the JSA and all was well (at least I thought so!). I then studied the JSA book and discovered the multitude of variations on JSA. Whilst I mostly understood what I was reading, I felt totally overloaded with what I originally thought was a relatively straightforward concept to something that seems, in actuality, to have many potential variations.

Is my overwhelmed state due to plain old "over-thinking" or in reality, do most folk just use JSA to the extent it is shown in the MT4 JSA script that is mostly restricted to the 1/2 angle and a single 50% retracement level?

Well, I use the script and make sure the angles are correct by adjusting my screen and Fix Scale once its correct. Because the 90 degree is in place, the 1/2 of the impulse wave is correct....so once we have a break of these areas then it tells me a direction is being confirmed...at least it works for me that way...look at GBP an hour ago...broke north of the JSA angle, and as you pointed out it bounce off the 90 you had drawn...means the downward is questionable at least at the moment.....even though the overall trend is strong downward....but with all the volatility in play things are moving most unusual atm.

Heres a couple chart to think about...If you have read how Jenkins calculated support/resistance...here is a comparison using either the Octave level, or the square root of the square root method from the low...

spooky, weird, confusing
printed chart and MT4, how can that be different, max zoom out when printed, all other zooms same bar was different size when changing zoom, 0 .7 cm longer/shorter was one bar that I did measure, so that is why angles does not work in MT4 or what?

so maybe I was not so clear,

you do not have to zoom anything, when price moves, same bar can be 0.7 cm higher or lower when in different places, you don`t have to do anything, MT4 does that, bars are alive so to say and that is why angles changes

same bar, same zoom, just printed in different place
so only vertical and horizontal lines does not change, everything else moves
I do remember long time ago, I was trading trend lines, so, I saw somewhere TV or what it was, I don`t remember, but it was screen with same pair that I was trading and there was beautiful long trend line, and I was surprised, because I did not had that, my trend was broken many times

I don't know what you expect to hear, the setup was pretty straigh forward.
If I see some interesting method, I'm trying to make it my own. I did nothing fancy, only applied simple concepts - there is no some sort of secret here! Just common sense + chart time. And as you can see there are some people here, that are far more superior than me in this trading game.

swede, thx for the correction and explanation.

i was trading a smaller TF for GBP and JSA would only fit in with a recent swing that’s y took that trade with 90 basing.

i think it’s less stress free to trade 1H JSA. But 15M for precise entries looks good too.

- H4 Price coming down from 7th octave level with 1.1190 Resistance on 90 Angle

so, these angles should stay as it is, so long when price goes out of scale, so I don`t know, this half angle is not the same after that, I don`t know if this is good or not

yesterday we compared methods for establishing support/ resistance....the Octave method dividing the last major swing high to low....or taking the low of the major swing and using the square root of the square root of that number and adding on to each level....I have to say with the big move up last night for GBP Jenkins method wins hands down..

Where did the move stop, yep, right at the second level...to the dime and reversed 37 pips......that in itself made the perfect countertrend short, staying with the overall trend.....nice!!

When you have a situation like this with JSA, the fact that price is well above the secret angle would presumably suggest that this is not short candidate (too bullish)?
