DIS Mar13 124 @ $1.92 up from $0.92

Spreads are getting wide on this one, so I'm glad I had an order in over the weekend....

Out of the following:

SPY Mar13 314 @ $1.94 up from $0.92

That's two that's been hit with a $1 profit added to the purchase price today....something to be said for getting your sell orders in the que early, I guess.

Might look at more SPY Mar13 later if it drops a little....don't want to go to too high of a strike price, though....

I always set up sell orders on every order when it is first entered. I usually know what the maxP is on spreads, so I will put it at 75% of that and adjust later.....

I legged into something with SPY Mar09 $316 calls for 55c, looking to sell the Mar06 $315 or $316 calls for net credit of 25c or better....

sold Mar06 $315 @ 85c, we'll see if it can get up there by Friday.....not safe as far out as shown on the risk graph, iv's will drain that down

That was a total bust. But my DIS CALLs more than made up for that loss. I need another day or two of big moves to around 280 on the DIA now.....

the Fed will hike again at the 3/18 FOMC, another 25 bps probably. Between now and then stocks will be at the mercy of the virus headlines.

It would be interesting to see how many of the deaths in the US were on compromised individuals. I know a few were from a nursing home in Washington, but all of that info helps to compare apples to apples. Also, how long is the average period of recovery? Inquiring minds want to know....

I never trade long straddles but this whipsaw shit is made for them. I will paper trade some:

Mar4 SPY 307.5 @ $8.11 debit

Mar6 306.5 @ $10.78 debit

...Mar04 straddle above nets >$2 with SPY dipping under $300. I'd be inclined to take that or at least close the put side and wait/see if the Mar04 calls catch another wild swing.
