{quote} Well done Sweede, you're doing a great work here. MT4 distortions in form of zoom, TFs, vertical lengths which are all tied to screen pixels and in turn greatly affect our analysis and projections. I found this indicator by "hayseed" in this link to have effectively dealt with such challenges. Unfortunately, i"ve searched through all of his post, cant find it, not anywhere. If anyone can find it, please post here to. OT: Read through this thread and almost all of the books, deciding to settle for JSA mastery and 52Degrees strategy.

Thanks for the replies guys. To get this done effectively at a glance, hayseed calls the angle indicator "farenheit 451". Have a quick check on this link below.

https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...34#post3708134

Any other manipulation would not give the correct angular reading on mt4 due to pixel imbalance.
Please help get this indicator guys.

With the indicator by hayseed, we can execute this strategy on youtube as explained by DM on mt4 easily.

Swede and BWilliam, two great minds, you guys seem to be on same page, in my own honest opinion. Both of you want it easy, simplified, tested and trusted. The friction/animosity isn't between you guys really, just an illusion.
On behalf of posterity, I apologize to you both.
Can we get back to making money.

Hi Juhanimi.

How are you squaring your chart for price and time? Very interested to see how everybody is going about it on MT4.

Quite impossible on mt4, once the orientation of the chart is changed, the angles are distorted which give wrong calculations and projections.
That is why I'm soliciting for whoever knows where to find hayseed's "farenheit 451" angle indicator. With that, half problem solved.

So, listen. That video you posted. You take trend line by angle and put it like it is in that video, impulse wave top and bottom, look then what is angle, if it is 40, divide that by 2 and you get 20, now draw a new trend by angle with 20 and then replace both with normal trend line and now you are ready.

Hi There
thanks to DM, Swede, Parisboy and all who participated in this topic and gave us new vision of trading!
as i see there is a problem on drawing angles on the chart and there is no specific indi for it. i just look at internet and found something interesting which i wanted to share with you hope it works for you. it's a ruler you should install on your windows. you can download it by this link: http://www.markus-bader.de/MB-RulerPro/downloaddemo.php

Here I added a few more lines. Just key in the angle in the angle input of this "Trendline by Angle" tool shown in the pic and it will plot in correctly. This pic shows that you can draw any angle relative to the impulse wave line starting from anywhere. To do this you, 1. plot the line according to the angle you need by keying in the angle in the angle input. 2. drag this line and position it to wherever on the chart of your choice. Example is marked by the line with the little arrow. {image}

Right on track BW one can also uncheck the RAY to adjust the trendline to a specific length

Hi folks,

The scaling on the MT4 is always different on other platforms however as BW has pointed out you can draw angles easily by using the Trendline by angles tool. I created 2 charts of the EURCAD using MT4 and TradeStation which has good drawing tools. In Tradestation it show the angles on a trendline by default however on MT4 all you need to do is use the tool, right-click on the trendline and uncheck the RAY, doing this will allow you define the length of the swing, then note the value, and subtract from 360 degrees, draw another for the Half angle by divide the value of your first angle by 2 i.e First Trendline = 295 Angle size = 360-295 =65
the Half angle will be 65/2 =32.5 = 32.5-360 =327.7 . Draw a new trendline and adjust to 327.5 then using your FIB tool to set the midpoint.
Below is an example of the EURCAD 4HRs from both platforms

one piece of the puzzle you are omitting, to have angles that won't change

you need to set the upper screen to the top of your impulse

the lower screen to the bottom of your impulse

this is in the scale fix of the properties

Hi,

To make grid composing more easy i coded an indi for this.

The indi after inserting into the chart displays a small panel with 3 buttons.

Push the Conf button and a trend line pops up in the chart, see yellow line.
The endpoints of this line you can move to the wanted bottom and top in the chart.
Keep the low endpoint for the bottom.

Push the draw button and the grid will be drawn.
Push the delete button and the grid will be deleted.

Check the settings for colors and line width's.

Your calculations are correct, but as you can see, the intersection of the half angle with the vertical line that serves as a breakout is different on both platforms. If I'm getting the visuals wrong, kindly help.

Chart Scaling issue I believe but with Emonts IJ grid indi. above those charts could be similar. A trial will never hurt anyone. ☺

My first statement explains it all, scaling scaling scaling, the market as you should appreciate is not an Exact Science, if you took a trade on a breakout fro your platform earlier or later than someone using a different platform you will still define your RISK from values calculated on your MT4 platform, I use Mt4 and TradeStation but only execute trades using Interactive Brokers, IB too have their own charts but will still define my risk accordingly. You also have the script for the SAM if in doubt, so it's all down to you, the concept is plain and simple draw a trendline determine the angle swing, then draw the half-angle and mark your entry points using a Fib tool using your own discretion.
