Just an observation that may help others...

I've noticed that most of the trades that I currently have running negative (including the full loss on GBPNZD) were false breakouts.

Had I not entered exactly on the entry line (+15% of the range for me), but instead went to a lower timeframe for the entry (say M15) and then only entered when the price broke and CLOSED above the trigger line, I would not have opened any of the negative trades.

Show what you are saying on a chart and post it here so that we can all see what you meant.

Thank you.

How many trades are you running negative? It is enough to make statistical judgement?

I don’t use any candle close or any timeframe to filter my entries.

Thanks

Are you using the script that has been provided on here? Or do you have your own way of calculating entries?

Only manual, as I have said repeatedly, I am only trading using a phone, therefore, no indicators, no scripts, no EA’s

But sharp eyes may have spotted the long awaited iPad has arrived from China (3 weeks instead of the promised 1 week)

Here are current open trades, CADCHF hit 2:1, good night, hospital tomorrow for stitches out, need sleep

Get well soon. We will need to get our filter right before we put the system on autopilot.

See you soon.

I must be doing something wrong. Perhaps it's the script or my timing of using it.

I hope you are feeling better.

Hi,
Just put this together as an aid. Its a script which shows the Hi Lo and some other levels. Not sure what everyone is using but easily modified. I did start of usin FIBO but the control of the length of lines is limited.

This is GBPNZD on H1...as you can see, it triggered a buy stop order when the price pierced the entry point...

If you go down to the M15 timeframe, you can see that the price never closed above the line. In this instance, if I'd waited for the price to close before entering, I would never have entered the trade, saving myself a full loss:
