Is that order flow delta in your chart for free? I use sentiment for analysis and I can see it is somehow corelated with delta order flow, Sentiment says majority of buyers are still in play, Price might go up for a bit but for sure it will wipe out those buyers soon. regards

The indicator is a paid one but you can try it for 2 weeks or so. The link to the developer was posted somewhere in the thread. I'm not associated with the developer.

Thank you FXState...I'm getting tired of telling people to read the thread for themselves. Especially people looking for a freebe...

Hello Friends,
There is something I wanted to call your attention to that is very important when utilizing order flow to help you make trading decisions. This is the concept of "neutral" order flow. This is when the aggressive buyers and sellers cancel each other out. And it is a clue as to where the liquidity in the market is located.

To briefly explain: Neutral Order flow is when the aggressive buyer and seller (those taking action at the market) are pretty evenly matched, and there is not clear dominance in the aggressive order flow. When this happens, it is the liquidity (passive side) that is creating the price movement...

What do I mean by that? When the buyers and sellers (again AGGRESSIVE) are evenly matched there is no clear dominance established and neither side has enough volume to use up the available liquidity...BUT...a big portion of it has been used up and is now awaiting a few more orders to finish the job...again the deeper the liquidity the more stable the price and the more shallow the liquidity, the more quickly it is used up. Lets take a look below:

Not here how price came down and selling was absorbed at the bottom (1st clue of changes). Then in the same candle, buying overcame the selling and prices rose. Selling has now pushed price back into the same area where the buying originally overcame the selling, and the battle raged in this area.

The clue here is the tiny little histogram bars showing that neither selling nor buying could really create a dominant order flow BUT the BUYING liquidity is holding the price from falling...just as it did when sellers were originally absorbed.

Again as I have repeated here ad nauseum...watch how price responds to the order flow...in this case prices are rising, indicating a preponderance of buying AND an end to the selling liquidity...once the selling liquidity is used up...prices must rise.

Take a good long look at this area circled and note how small the histogram bars are...also note in this same area how the order flow was mostly dominated by selling until the buying liquidity absorbed it. Finally look how prices are responding to this scenario...

Again chose your favorite technical analysis set up and see how bearish everything looks. Perhaps start counting the bars until the technical bullish scenario finally shows up...THAT is how far in advance the order flow will tell you something's changing.

I doubt it. You will need to direct questions about the indicator to it's developer

I look at daily charts because it is a complete 24 day's volume including all sessions across the world. There are no gap times...it is all presented as a complete day. This cannot be said for intaday volume. So I chose to look at data as complete as possible.

Hello,Don
I have some comments on orderflow...
suppose this (bullish example)
situation1, look inside a bar, when a huge buying delta appears at the top , i see this as the sign of weakness, because so huge aggressive buying cannot push price even up, meanning those buying were absorbed.
situation2, also look at the VP/footprint, when a huge selling delta appears at the top. i also see this as kind of weakness, because no more aggressive buying would like to buy at higher level.
so ,,,,my conclusion,,
if we find whetever huge buying delta or selling delta at the top, it can be seen as a sign of weakness ,and vice versa...
all above analysis based on a FINISHED bar!!

ActivTrades allow natural gas CFD trading. You can also check FXCM and IC Markets.

Hello DonPato,

Thanks for starting this thread, recently I have gotten into order flow because of this thread then I came across Axia Futures, was wondering if you heard of them or can vouch for them.

I appreciate it if you took the time to answer me as I know this might be a little off-topic, I don't mean to hijack the thread.

Thanks

I am unfamiliar with Axia...but also to be clear I think it would be inappropriate for me to make any kind of recommendation for anyone on which broker or data feed to use. I can only say this: If you are using MT4 or MT5...STOP and use something else.

It is up to the individual to decide which broker or data feed they wish to use. I would say that you should look for transparency in their quoting and filling process which I have found out boils down to just one question you can ask your broker..."who do you use as your clearing house?"

If they cannot answer or if they "hmm or humph" over your question...move on to another broker that can directly answer that without hesitation. Remember that in futures trading all accounts are settled at the end of the day and if they can't even tell you which clearing house they're using to do that...it means they are keeping your transaction "in house"...meaning they're a bucket shop.

this is a 5min chart on futures contract ,just my two cents
as i cannot get VP chart now. instead, i use footprint chart to analyze orderflow.
i thought that in this case, the bottom swing point forms becasue the exhausion of selling but not absorption.
