Apologies. I seem to be causing more confusion in trying to ask the question! This is my current understanding... We have eight "rows" splitting price starting from the low to the high of the swing, in this case, Dec 23 low to Dec 31 high, as per Swede, (using the modified Fib tool).

I am just trying to understand whether in MT4, to get the time unit using the cycle tool, we adjust the cycle tool so that there are eight columns spanning the time range that starts from the Dec 23 low to the Dec 31 high?

I understand that the cycles may then need adjusting but if we are dividing the price range by the eight rows, then we must be trying to divide the time from the 23/12 low to the 31/12 high into eight columns also?

Geester 100 % correct. That is the theoretical idea.

The practical question is : can the tools, functions, technical possibilities of your platform reach this target , or how close ?

I definitely hate reading books that talk a lot and say little. Jenkins' books have too many pages. They do not teach anything concrete. Everything is esoteric. I will wait to see if any charitable soul explains it better in this forum to see if any of this can be learned. I insist, the system is missing trigger and direction.

Imho, some of Jenkin’s best work is in the use of mirrored angles and timing from major turning points.

based on Swede step by step instructions, I could come up with this raw form, which will be done professionally in further posts, been reading stuff here with interest.

so here is a chart based with EUR/USD 1H swing high/low, starting 14th feb.…...I have also included in the same chart 15M angles as well.

comments plz, if im doing it all wrong!

great start...keep experimenting and always keep the octave levels in mind when making a decision....notice where price held...notice where pprice reversed....those are trade able levels....

Measured moves. I never paid enough attention to the currency I was trading. But then I started reading Jenkins and he is so maticulous he will analyze 10 years of swings from high to low, put them in a data base, so that he can calculate when the next move is expected.....he says if the average trader would do that he would find spectacular results....Im here to tell you he is right...I have tried several of his methods and they work beyond anything I could have imagine.....here is one way....lets just go back to our GBP charts following up from the series from post 44.

Lets just take an average impulse wave.....

Now..notice at the top we have measured how many candles it took till the wave wave was over....follow the next chart to come up with a probable retrace....had you made this calculation, would you not have had confidence to pull the trigger south....for like 170 pips?????

Now lets take the big swings and measure them...from exactly the top to the bottom and see if there is any wisdom that we might gain on our same 1 hour GBP chart.....would you not like to know another measured move had taken place on the latest sell off...where the bottom might be at least temporarily?

Here are some measured moves I have been using the past few weeks...Euro is spectacular...I was able to catch so many levels along the way...it was incredible....and especially on the daily chart using the technique to make up the tool..

And...all of this is simple...but you gotta put in the time...once set up you have a very strong road map of support, reistance, retrace levels and so on.....I quote a friend of mine...Digger1 whom you often see in these forums...he is very successful but he always tells new students "DRAW THE DAMN LINE" as a starting point...so Im saying the same thing...

Study just a few of his tools for a few months and then come back with your opinion...
