I ended up falling asleep as it was late, the second arrow painted which would have given us the decent profit by closing the first candle at almost breakeven and the second candle in a solid profit. This is the reason getting an ea made for when we arent available.
Missed the second entry but showing where we would have gotten in again. We would be in a small profit. We arent going for home runs just 10-20 pips on the 1 hr and not much more on the 4 hour.
I have mentioned in the first post that the 4 hour has the best signals but the 1 hour also has good signals just larger drawdown at times. I would suggest not going lower then 1 hour or else you may miss the re-entries and those are what make the system profitable.

sorry for misunderstanding bigpipin but i was asking about target profit
My apologies was skimming over the thread. TP would be up to you, I do look at support and resistance. If you look at the above CADCHF chart you will notice my tp was at support, it was hit but the spread was too large so it didnt close. You could always go down to a lower tf to find a closer s/r area if you cant find one close enough on the main signal chart. Hope that helps.

Just add manually SMA with value of 5 and you should see it when it crosses over.
I noticed from the file SMA CrossOver_Justin.mq4 that when the 5 period SMA touches any of the other two MAs it gives specific signal.
What I am intrested in is how to change from SMA to ther types of MAs?

I saw that sma crossover justin repaints,arrows never deletes after it is painted but problem what I saw for example is after bearish candle close there was no down arrow but if next candle moves lower then apears down arrow in previous candle.so conclusion is that visual backtesting is not reliable

I see that you used 1 minute tf not 4 hours tf as recommended.
Could the delay of arrow was caused by the inaccurance of the SMAs values themselves?
Did the SMAs crossover happen after the first candle you noted? If it did, than it was caused by the inaccurance of the SMAs values.
I bellive the answer to the abovementioned questions would determine the final concusion.

1m is for testing. Same repaints happen on h4 and on all tf. I dont know how this indi calculates sma crosses. You can test yourswlf on 1m you fast can spot this repainting

I have noticed this issue as well, it doesnt repaint but there are times that the arrow will paint one candle back after the current bar closes. It doesnt do this all the time but that could cause an issue for reentries if it paints late. So far this hasnt been much of an issue for this system.
If the indicators were put into an ea, I do believe it has the potential to generate income, how much it would make is unknown due to the sma_jason indicator at times appearing late. This would only limit a very few signals not being produced, we would not enter on these signals as they would be late anyways. I am still in the process of getting this coded.
