I heard that AUD is going Bananas <-- Literally BANANA the fruit!

What is Banana and its tie with Aussies?
I read that banana price is soaring in Australia and this is bringing their inflation up.

Is Banana an export or Import Product?

Majority of the banana plantation was wiped out due to Cyclone that hit part of Australia couple of months ago. This is the main reason why the cost of bananas skyrocketed. In addition, the government will not allow any importation...at the moment....
