The tests were done In Vitro and not In Vivo. A lot of drugs don't usually do what they intended once it goes In Vivo. So far we can slow down the virus with drugs like Tamiflu and hopefully the body would crank out an anti-body that would kill it but so far that's about it.

a non lethal dose of copper sulphate may kill it too. (old blue rock med in some cultures, readily available and cheap). I assume it can be killed. But will the cure kill the patient.

I think these numbers will tell us the real impact on Chinese economy. They can be significantly red due to shutdown. Europe is direct line of fire due this virus and its effect on economy, EU numbers are not looking great either before virus too.
