In addition to Alan's great remarks, this is my thinking process: As Long as the EMA is in a clear direction, I expect that a price drop from a high is profit taking and I expect 'them' to buy again on lower prices. So when I see those bull div's I don't close my Buy position at BE+1 but instead close the Sell in profit, meaning I join the Buyers.

Interesting indicator buddy thanks for sharing going to do a little back testing.. one question tho do U have to reload the indicator to get the latest info ? Or does it up date ?
Should Friday close be lower than Thursday close, there will be both price & RSI divergence.

Lots of US news during Friday session.

Just a couple of things Des.

1) Can you add another dashed line off the C point because if price tends to keep criss-crossing this level it is generally ranging sideways.

And questions are...

1) Does it leave the triangle in place and cancel the target lines once they have been hit.?

2) What is the trend line on RAY for, is it the current direction?

Whoops! just found an error.

Look at this 5 min chart and see C was not attacking a pivot but rather a flat spot on the RSI. The actual pivot was below the EMA so this is just a regular continuation divergence with no target defined.

I can't figure the purpose of the RAY lines.

I would suggest the following for a use of them... This is not the best situation being in the Asian session but here goes...

When price finds support it is a fair indication it is going to run to the respective target... In this case bullish off a bull support.

So the Ray begins at this support and ends at the bullish D target.

The line closes if the bull support is broke by a close below it.

Hope that makes sense...

it's the profit taking or stop hunts or as I call them stabs, a stab up or down, these confuse me, as to whether it's a genuine move or not, often these stabs are 20+ pip moves and move very fast so can easily damage your account if you are not careful, when i see a Zoo in the area of the stab with divergence that gives me more confidence of my initial trading direction, now I rigidly do not move my stops as Alan says you can take a few small losses, because when you get onto the bigger moves they will always pay you back, also once in a trade that's in good profit I have added more trades at continuation divergences to compound my money, I close these extra trades at divergence, and hedge my initial amount.

Just one thing to point out here.

When you manage to get the many multiple entries on a hedge puts them all in one level location so you have very safely loaded up the trade to the point where you are all in. Now as the hedge kicks in you can close all the primary trades and move the stop to BE on your hedge.

This means you have made good profits from the primary trades and now the hedge is making good profits also as a counter move progresses.

You are now free to hedge the hedge any time you feel it is warranted and this can continue as long as you want it to. The point being that there is now no risk at all even though you have all your money tied up in the trade. You can close all when you have made your profit target for the day..

I don't go to all that trouble once I have some of the markets money to trade with, I simply trade the direction and leave the trade alone until I get stopped out or make the required profit.
Another point...

The so call stabs or stop hunts as you call them. I don't believe there are such things as stop hunts these are just impulse bars to turn the EMA's. The reason they are so big is they have to make an impact on the average to bend it like Beckam.
Today we see we have had a series of impulses over the last couple of days pulling the EMA up to the 3033 average level.

The question is are the bulls going to make the HH or are the bears going to stop it.

We have no idea so we simply sit on hands and await some signal.

If the break is long then 3153 is the logical level. If the break is short then the logical level is 2956

For me the good point of a hedge is that I have to stay active to make the decision how to go on. In that way it is different from going flat, which influences me by being less sharp. The downside of a hedge is that it costs spread + commission, so hedging a hedge is not something I will consider.

I do think that stophunts exist but not per se exactly as we have those in mind, after the fact being showed by a pinbar which took out a previous high or low. Btw, such bar does not effect the EMA. The more I became aware of the Hooks, I have the idea that the BE+1 exit is something many traders apply to their trade, meaning there is a liquidity node within recent price action (where the hooks occur). That's the liquidity they want to grab and that makes the hook. Which makes me question if the BE+1 exit is the best we can do and I hope you have an idea on this, Alan. I am still not sure what to think about this.

Talking about possible hook situations, I question myself often enough if defending my funds with the BE+1 exit is the most important and logical thing. Especially when we go with a small first position, the funds at risk is small. I just don't want to be a victim of a hook.

I think you are miss reading what I am trying to explain about the value of hedging... I'll have a think about it and try to explain the critical point of it better.

As far as the hooks go they are the bane of my life being stopped out so many times. However consider this what if it is not a hook and price just rockets past the divergence as we see happen so often. I would always prefer to lose a little rather than considerably more.

It is a good thing that these items are discussed because that is how we find solutions.

PS. What is a liquidity node?

Thank you. Good to read you feel that pain of being stopped out many times, waiting to get involved in a perfect setup. That sure helps, thank you.
With Liquidity node, I meant a small price range where significant liquidity rests in the form of pending orders especially including stops.

(1) I have added a line at C
(2) The triangle will stay in place after the targets have been hit however the Top/bottom targets and 50% lines should disappear
(3) Have removed the RAY line's this was something I was testing and should have removed previously
(4) Will look at the issue with the Flat Line, not sure what you mean about RSI being a doji
