Hi,

I've made an utility to zoom in the MT4/MT5 charts with the mouse wheel. I think it's so handy that I decided to share it here.

Just run the program and you will see a tray icon meaning the program is running. So then, you will be able to zoom with the mouse wheel the same way you can do it pressing the "-" and "+" keys.

I've tried this but it doesn't work. It pops up in my tray but the zoom didn't work

Are you using latest version? It's on MT4 or MT5?

Does anyone know how to stop MT4 from shifting around when zooming in and out. I'm trying to do backtesting and when I zoom out to see the overall trend the candlestick I am at shifts and it reveals the "future" moves.
not very useful for backtesting then.
any option to activate or anyway to pin the end of chart at a candlestick?

You need to get the proper market replay feature

To answer my own question in case someone else is looking for it too,
There is a tiny light grey triangle at the very edge of the chart lower left edge.
select it and drag it to right side of the chart and chart is anchored to where that triangle is.
then when you zoom in or out the chart zooms in and out from left and does not move in the right end.
Trust me dude, the market replay feature on mt4 takes backtesting to another level, unlike what you're trying to do.
You can replay any date range at different speeds, pause it & even place simulated orders. There's even a trade

running build 4.0 and doesn't seem to work for me either. I only use MT4 with Soft4FX for backtesting and use cTrader for my trading, and on that (as per trading view) you have to hold CTRL and scroll to zoom, and without CTRL it moves left to right, as MT4 does all the time. Anything I'm doing wrong here mate? Thanks
