Very much possible mate, but would look to sell these intra day rallies as opposed to looking to go short on the break out as wew are testing a critical support level at the moment, it held on well so far and some divergence beginning to creep in on longer time frames so lets see

I think a close over 51 would give a bullish phase initial target 52.64

Moty, would like to ask you how do you count-in the seasonality of WTI? It would imply drop for at least a week and massive TURN around mid of FEB...
I would be comfortable to step on it closer towards the end of FEB.. but right now.. would prefer to be on the SELL side But yeah, have to watch rebounds also not to enter at/before rebound

Nothing... it is normal for this time and the year and current "situation"... I mean it will RAISE later, no problem to drop as much as it can... more FREE RIDES later

The $50 level is where the current (front month CLH2020) minus the CLZ2020 (December) has gone flat. Part of the trade structure of hedge funds has hit a speed bump. Should the front month get cheaper than the December contract, its a more bearish scenario in the hedge structures. Think March minus April minus May minus Junes etc etc to December. Its been the opposite until recently.

Daily chart:

Breakdown in Structure and 2019 lows taken out with price clearly rejecting and closing below that level on the Daily

H1 Chart:

Continued retest of the entry line has resulted in a continuation of the lower lows and lower high structure, as such wil be looking to short as and when price tags point A.
