Hi Paul, After reading this thread, regardless of any future results, I just want to thank you for all your work and efforts. Earlier on in the thread, someone suggested you were lazy for trying to implement such a simple system. However, given your efforts with the EA, hours testing and generosity, this is not laziness but rather a way to work more efficiently and keep one's mind open to any possibility. (with due diligence)

Did you add the trend filter manually or is it a setting in the EA?

It'll be a setting in both the indicator and the EA, representing the period to use for the trend.

Yep mine triggered a long but not looking good, hoping US news swings this one around.
Does your robot stop working automatically? It happened a few times. During work, the robot stops working on its own. The smile on the chart disappears. the robot disappears.
I checked it on several platforms. It disappears after the transaction. Does not set SL or TP. Picture attached.
There is a problem with the new version. All older ones work without interruption.

Very weird - I'll take a look. So, 1.4 doesn't do this, but 1.41 does?

Yes. This is version 1.41

V1.41 is working correctly for me on EU...two buys today, first one in red so far -27 pips, second one buy at 1.10373 and already closed for 10 pips !

I've checked the code between the two versions, and the only changes made for 1.41 was to do with the information panel, nothing else, so I can't understand why you are getting this issue with 1.41 and not 1.4.

Looking at your logs, the EA is unloading itself due to not being able to update the SL and TP on the trade. This 'feature' has been in my code since the first version, which is why I don't understand why it's suddenly occurring.

The error shown means that the SL or TP is no longer valid, meaning that in between the time of placing the order and then applying the calculated SL and TP, the price has moved sufficiently for the SP and/or TP to no longer be valid. This can happen during times of high volatility.

Alternatively, it is also possible that your broker has changed the minimum number of points between the current price and the SL on the fly - many brokers do this throughout the day as volatility and/or liquidity changes. Gold is a particularly fast moving instrument, which might explain why you're experiencing this on gold and not EURUSD.

This is purely for informational purposes only and doesn't affect the opening of orders.

This is based on the information supplied by the broker, and varies by instrument. Sometimes, the info supplied by the broker is not correct, so it appears to the EA that the market is closed for that instrument when it actually isn't, which is why I haven't restricted trading due to this information. If the market is truly closed when the EA tries to open an order, the open will fail with the appropriate error.

OK I understand. Can you somehow solve this problem?
I have also noticed a problem with these currency pairs;
usd/chf , usd/jpy , gpb/jpy , nzd/usd

Bigger SL / TP?
Slippage has something to do with this? Set more slippage?
At the same time, I'm still testing this version; https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...7#post12651037
has been running fine for two weeks. It opens transactions differently. But it works fine. This problem does not occur.

now it's the same with gbp / usd (an hour ago). Is this the same problem?
