I haven't actually made any changes, so I'll probably re-issue it with an extension.

I've now had 2 profitable trades on EURUSD this month for a total of 15%. Could have been more but I wasn't watching the charts this evening so let the EA to trail the stop, which ended with the default +5 pips instead of a possible +15.

I got this trade on demo last night, i really like the SL on previous high/low that you have coded in this one. without taking this thread off course that would be an interesting addition to Ultron

still trying to do some backtesting for other pairs, do you have any recommended pairs that this works well on?
Is it just me or are back tests over the medium and long term not looking as promising as over the last year or so?

the strategy tester is not very accurate. Can show direction. Not the exact purpose.
I'm testing on a demo account. Tests are ongoing. Recently I changed settings. are not very good. After a month I will be able to write Which settings are the best.

Gold has large correction movements. I need special settings and long tests.

Paul, do you know why a robot can't open a position on DAX?
I've been changing settings for several days. It doesn't do anything. Week out of position. The settings are such that the indicator gives a signal.

If the indicator gives a signal but the EA doesn't open a trade it can be due to a number of things:

  1. The EA has different settings to the indicator.
  2. The broker has disabled EAs for the symbol.
  3. There's not enough money in the account for the required margin.

Can you take a look at the journal tab and see if there are any messages there or under Experts? If there are, they should give us some clue as to why it's not opening a trade.

3. Demo account has a lot of money.

Spread? I just took a look at the DAX and the spread on my broker is 100 points - do you have the spread filter on?

Filter off.
I did for checking; TP; 500 and SL 500
I tried to enable the filter. and turn it off. Reset the platform. Open a new dax window.
I will check with another broker. (I have 3 with whom I check the settings all the time). I will set it to high sensitivity in a moment. we'll see if it opens.

The transaction has been opened. So it's the broker's fault.
I am surprised that another robot works.
In that case, I'm starting tests on the new platform. Thank you for your response

Hmmm..and interesting idea indeed. However, I've not been trading Ultron live as it still seems far too risky for me. If I get time, I may revisit it and seen what difference it may make.

Could you help me to understand the parameters of the indi? I'm struggling to adjust them. I would like to know how to avoid this entries with no wicks.
