My trial of CT_DashBoard_v1a had a number of ups and downs during the week but finished Thursday with a Profit.

Hi JustUncleL

Is the TS that you use in conjunction with the CT_DashBoard_v1a very different from the CT VWAP TS?

are they based on the same logic or very different?

Market Heatmap running along nicely. I remember a while back there was talk about a fix for the flickering heatmap bars, I was not using them at the time so do not remember if there was a fix or not.

The CT_DB does use a Trend line break Algo but does not use any VWAP in it's logic, so they are not the same.

On my screen I get minimal flicker, there were some changes made to reduce flicker some time ago. If you are getting major flickering on your screen it's more likely to do with the power of your PC and/or video card. I use a dedicated PC with an i7 CPU, 16GB memory and a good video card, I have no trouble running 10 MT4 terminals. The secret to keeping CPU+Video load down with lots of terminals is make sure you minimize your MT4 terminals after you view each one, if you have a busy Desktop with lots of Windows maximized then you can expect flickering on the MT4 terminals.

HI Seller9

Have you ever considered adding a short term moving average to the RSI so that is acts as a second trigger for entry. The problem with the RSI is that it enters all too often too early, but if you added a (short term MA) it will allow you to enter at a much better price level.

Below is a snapshot of price action and a RSI and what i see frequently. yellow circles indicate situations where RSI of 90 / 10 would have been way too early and you would have had to endure substantial DDs (indicated by yellow lines on candle chart) before the trade starts going in your favor.

I have added some red curves on the RSI to show what the MA would look like.

so you would still use the 90 / 10 levels (or whatever levels you want to choose) but you would add another level of logic that says
for example:

1) For Shorts: if the RSI is above 90 and the RSI crosses the MA from above to below the its a short entry.
2) For Longs: if the RSI is below 10 and the RSI crosses the MA from below to above then its a long entry.

I believe you would be able to time your entries a bit better on a substantial portion of trades. Im not saying this is foolproof, just very much worthwhile testing.
Can you please consider adding this logic so we can test it?

With the built-in TP/SL calculations of BT_v11 showing some malfunctions, I have decided to move my TP/SL settings back to the corrected (DB_v16) DB ADR TP/SL for a number of setups. Here are some results

Feels like im getting nowhere...!!

In the first 4 setup I used the BTTSv11 TP =2 and TSL = 2 to see if I can grab short term profits, but No!!

Last setup is CT VWAP

Considering BT_v11 has demonstrated some malfunctioning TP/SL calculations this could be a false test.

Other things to consider is:

- why do you need so many exits: TP, TSL, SL and Opposite signal, particularly with quite a small TP/SL/TSL combo. I would suggest if you are using TSL to have no TP setting or have a larger TP and have no Opposite signal exit. Hopefully this lets the profits run a bit further.

- consider also using DB timeframe higher than the TS timeframe, this can prevent some quick cycling bad trades.

- one day's trade does not indicate success/failure of a particular setup, need longer term testing of at least a few weeks to eliminate/accept a particular setup.
