{quote} Hope all is good. Nothing is forever, like take handful sand on beach. It will move through your hands to beach again. The only what exist is love. The older we are going, the more we smell what really counts. We start in a harbor as cihilds, move through wild waters, move through silent waters. In the last period we reach again the harbor. Live is like sailing. Wish you the best.

Hi Cigarguy,

Just joined the forum. I've seen some of your posts and I really like your style - 1 min scalp, 5 pips, in and out. That's what I've been trying to master.

I've looked through some of your previous posts and trying to understand how you go about scalping the 1 min.

Where should I focus my efforts in order to learn your type of trading? Sonic thread, Trading Made Simple, Original PVSRA, etc.?

Or do you have your specific methodology written out somewhere in 1 place?

Thanks!

It was known 140.15- 140.22 is a zone of demand. We trade in 1M chart, Looking M5 is in over sold zone. Spot a buy candle pattern. Hit & quick run reached spot [email protected] Dragon.

Thank you PVSRA.

Thanks

First noticed that Red Volume candles have tried and then successfully crossed the Dragon downwards on the NZDJPY, and noticed something similar on the AUDJPY chart as well. However, it was less obvious on the AUDJPY.

Chose to trade the AUDJPY due to the slightly smaller spread, and also saw a Blue volume candle unable to break the Dragon upwards. Entered below the Blue candle, and closed at +3.4 pips because price was nearing a Zone, and price isn't going as fast as I liked.

I use IC Markets. They have two pricing, what I use is what was called ECN, but if I'm not wrong, they call it Raw Spread now.

Anyway, I didn't find any good trades today so far. Ah well.

hey guys and girls. first of all, nice thread and interesting disscusions, charts, a lot of usefull free info that s hard to come by these days. i ve read almost thro the hole thread and the previous 1 by Tah, and still can t figure out why some go long after climactic volume or short. i m asking cos i m used to vsa, wyckoff, been trading with volume since 3 years and change, and still couldn t figure out why 1 would go long after climactic volume. what i mean is that i always wait to see the reaction at the high vol bars, as for me that would confirm if there were more buyers then sellers inside that bar, or maybe just a fake out like it happens most of the time etc..don t get me wrong, i m not trying to judge or to sound like a smuck, but i m just curious why as that contradicts the way i trade and, if it makes sence then i ll change, maybe i m the 1 in the dark. thanks guys and, keep posting and keep this thread alive, it s a rare bread these days.
before i forget, a chart with a trade i m in just now on gold, seems to me like a small accumulation ahead of news, hope i don t break any rules if i post. cheers

What is the RR you guys are getting? I find it hard trading 1 R as the commission eats half of my profit when scalping for 2-5 pips. If I choose a 1:2 RR, it usually ends up being 1:1. Any advice on this?

I am with IC Markets and I pay about 3.50 Euro per standardlot which is a lot if you scalp, having a 4 pip SL and target of 4 pips. Is this still fine to do? What is the RR you guys are usually targeting?

It all depends. Candles are not all the same size. The amount of movement varies between pairs. Stop Loss and Target are not always 1: 1 RR. You have two options:
- Have the stop loss and the target fixed in pips. Which you will have to wait for the opportunity that fits.
- Vary the amount of stop loss and target pips. Adapting to the situation. Manage the money with the RR that best suits your style and vary the lots to reduce or increase the profit / loss.
