There appears to be a small malfunctions where the "Baskets Closed" count is getting reset to zero, despite having a "Go at Profit" setting?

PS: This relates to CT DashBoard_v1a

PSS: I think I discovered what causes the reset, if you press the "Go at Profit" button, this resets the count to zero. Is this intentional?

Yes, it resets to zero when you step through the :Go at Profit" button, that is normal.

HI Seller9


I am using the TP and TSL of the BT TSv11 with a 30Min SWe setup on all 28 fx pairs

Below is a snapshot of one of the FX pairs in a trade.

My TP = 3 x and the ATR = 9 and therefore my exit should be 27 pips higher, but the TS calculates the TP pip = 47


I am seeing this issue on all of the fx pairs with live trades. seems like the TP pip values are 4 or 5 x greater and not at the 3x level I set

In the second snapshot I have the GBPJPY and have set the TP = 0,5 just to see what happens, but the TP pips are calculates as 44 by the TS
The ATR(7) = 19,
I would expect the TP pips to be 0,5 x 19 pips = 9 approx

Am I misinterpreting something here?

IM having trouble understanding the BT TSv11 TP and TSL settings.
Maybe you can shed some light.

as i understand the TP setting is a multiplier of the ATR (7) (Averate true range over last 7 candles). but it does not seem to be that.
What I see is that the actual TP pips that the TS calculates to be much larger than the multiplier I use as input. even if i make the TP = 0,5 (which is really small) then the TP pip calculated by the TS is still fairly large (like 2 x ATR)

I hope to understand this issue better before the start of the Asian session. Would like to make sure i get this right for testing purposes.

This could be a malfunction I have not noticed before. After my initial look at the TP calculated it looks inconsistent, sometimes it is correct sometimes wrong, I don't know about SL yet. I will have a closer look when the Market starts up again and it generates some trades I can use as examples.

My CT_DB_v1a trial loss all of it's gains from Monday, I will continue with the "Go at Profit" until the end of week to see what happens:

I checked all 28 pairs and the atr(7) and TP and SL are all being calculated correctly on my charts, example below.
The atr(7) is an active and changing number since it takes into consideration the present active candle and the previous 6 candles.
These settings must be set up before any trade is opened and not changed during an open trade.

HMuller1971 can you show some examples of where you believe the calculation is incorrect...

I did make changes to TP and SL while the trades were open, so maybe that is my issue.

see post 6127 for examples.

However i did make changes to TP and SL settings while trades were open and according to seller9 this might be my issue.
So maybe that explains my problem.

I need to learn not to fiddle with anything while trades are going. "Set up your trades and leave the damn thing alone !!!" )

Ok i did the same setup as yesterday. using the BTTSv11 TP and SL settings and this time I started it and let it run and did not make any changes to any settings afterwards. For current open trades the TP and TSL values look 100% correct, but for trades that have closed, it seems that the TP and TSL does not reset.

IN the snapshot is an example. Also in the snapshot example TP value is way off big. why is this?

Will the TP and TSL reset once the next trade signal is generated for this FX pair?

Looks like there might be an error in resetting the TP/SL in the TS after the trades are closed by a DB Target or SL hit. I have seen it occur once today, but do not have screenshots. I now know what to look for, so I will wait for another event to occur so I can document it.

This version of this TS was originally done under a previous build of MT4 and no longer complies completely with the latest MT4 Build.

I will need to do some code reworking in this TS as it has not been recompiled to comply with the last MT build update and some things have changed in the way MT4 is doing some things so the code will have to be updated to comply with the latest build of MT4.

So I will be doing some work on this TS and release an updated version when done.

This is one of the reasons a lot of coders no longer do MT4 coding as the MT4 platform keeps changing and they don't want to go back and redo everything they have done on previous builds of MT4.

It's kind of like when you do a Windows Update and find out a lot of your programs no longer work.

Isn't the WORLD of SOFTWARE GREAT!!! LOL

Kind of like a new Cell Phone every other week or two.
