Haven't updated here in a long time. Here's a blast from the past. One of my Gann Squares on the 1h chart. The first screenie highlights the range being measured and then how the square played out until the end of the square and then walking the square forward from the measured low going forward. Notice how the 50% timeline was the market low. Also notice how the other timelines are highs/lows. And for poops and giggles check out how my wavy line forecast was pretty accurate as well.

{quote} I know the Sq9 inside and out and in dozens of ways to use including astro. I don't use it much anymore. I'll dig up my old spreadsheets if I still have them. I've also got sq9 indicators somewhere. I won't give those to you because I don't give out indicators I've made but I'll give out the algorithm and you can program it yourself or someone else do it. My old blog goes into using it quite a bit but none of the images work anymore. http://4xcycletrader.blogspot.com/

I am using this - https://desitrader.in/ganns-square-of-9-calculator/ and it's working fine.

I haven't posted here in a long time. Hard to believe I started posted in this thread in 2006. I'm still at it pretty much using the setups/strategies/tools. I'm mostly trading E-mini SP futures and Nadex options on those futures. I occasionally make a forex trade, but the volatility has dried up on the euro and the volume for forex options on Nadex has gone to shit, so the pricing isn't always the best or the spreads are stupidly wide. On the hand, SP500 options on Nadex are great.

Below is a screen from today's action. The light brown vertical line and where all of the pivot lines start from is US market open. Price ran up to the +.5 deviation line right at the forecast cycle top of the forecast averaged cycle (solid MA looking forecast towards the top) and sub cycle forecast (dashed MA looking line hugging price) , so I shorted and took profits when price ran down to the daily pivot. I then waited out until the sub cycle bottom and went long targeting the session open level. Then at the next sub cycle top I shorted yet again and got out just below the daily pivot. I then waited things out to see how price was going to react going into my "cycle of 12" line. The dark blue vertical dashed line which was also the forecast dominant cycle low as shown by the red dashed zig zag forecast. Price rallied for about 90 minutes up to the line so that meant inversion and since the overall trend is down, I shorted yet again getting out at the red pivot zone line and the forecast sub cycle low.

One of my biggest winning days ever. Lots of good moves in both directions. I'm also trading for a futures prop firm on the side and went 16-5 on my trades there for the day.

Tomorrow is FOMC day, so who know what'll happen. If I trade, it'll be based more on looking at moves to extreme deviations and playing price action and the ranges.

Gann theories should work in any market. It's just a matter of putting in the work to find what numbers and cycles "resonate".

i usually Trade with or against Market makers......using cycles you can see the the correlation and watch for market makers breaking out.
i like to keep charts of my bigger gains and to continue to learn the market maker cycle. it is not all about price.

Nice. I like how you use inverse correlation to see the cycles. Inverted cycles is one of the tools I use in my forward projections. In the chart below I do the inversions in a separate window just because my charts are messy enough. Based off of the cycle cross, I went long with a Nadex spread on the US500 and that cashed nicely. Currently in a long OTM Binary 4333 strike. MT4 is a bit off from Nadex pricing, but you can see my binary ladder there for reference. That's how I sort of gauge OTM strikes I'm shooting for based on ATR and what not.

Edit: I should also note that on deep OTM I set TP orders to get out on the touch or when price is 50.

Aaaaaand there it is. But you can see the discrepency in price between nadex on MT4. I made a custom price line that mimics the nadex price in MT4, but I don't trade binaries often any more so I didn't put it on this chart.

I need to start paying more attention to the VIX. If anything just to avoid IV crush. But also to get a gauge on when doing Iron Condors or Butterflies are probably not the best route and spreads are the better choice.

I usually Trade Forex on Nadex.
I am a follower of Gann. i agree with his argument everything runs in cycles.
i am thinking of shorting Natural gas on Nadex.
i do not believe there was much of a market back in Mr. Ganns day for him to study that commodity.
but i do believe in 10 year cycles. if you look at the 10 year for Natty gas it shows almost a completed cycle
even though it is short of 10years. any opinions on the idea of shorting Natural Gas?
What makes it more bizarre...Putin stated today Russia was going to up production of natural gas to meet all of Europe's needs.
