I am researching this area of trading at the moment. Is there anymore information available please?

Csfxtrading - how are you able to interpret what part of the volume you are getting is relevant given how much manipulation of the limit order book there is going on these days (I think they call it spoofing or quote stuffing, and pinging - all of which are not currently illegal but still considered unethical at worst and just plain misleading at best!)?

Anthonyjj - Here are a few details that should help.

(Institutional Stuff) The ECN's require banks when streaming bids/offers to include BOTH a bid and an offer when streaming quotes, to stream one sided quotes gets the stream rejected. But what does this mean if a Bank has expectations of prices moving higher? It in fact means that the asking price is going to be off market and significantly higher than what would or could be executed on.

(Analytical Stuff) Surprise surprise though, it means half the orders are already intentionally worthless.

(Trader Stuff) From there it takes some additional analytical finesse to see which bids/offers still have interest and it's the balance of these two with price action that becomes the key.

(Value Stuff) Price and Volume are correlated with a very tight relationship. But things like bid/ask bounce [on prices], some price action [on volume] bring that correlation on properly filtered volume to better than 95%.

Building the analysis is a HUGE undertaking. You're in the backyard of the institutions - they don't want the screen door left open so in most cases the information is either impossible to find or prohibitively expensive. I can show you what I use on live charts for a bit. You might have a better understanding of it when you see it analyze each candle live.

Can we please stick to Supply and Demand that is the reason for this thread, AKT has put in thousand of hours, years of hard work into this thread. So Csfxtrading you can open your own thread and talk about your methodology and how profitable you are.

PLEASE DON'T DISTRACT US WHO WANTS TO TRADE THE SUPPLY AND DEMAND METHODOLOGY.

Trading Supply and Demand zones only gets BETTER when you know what volume is doing. It's like taking off the foggy goggles of flight training.. No more clouds and hopes. While the thread is on Order Flow - 90% of the trading public doesn't understand the ONLY way to understand order flow IS through volume.

Volume drives everything in every market - Supply / Demand levels are the inferior approach.

I thought what Csfxtrading is showing IS "supply and demand", but a much purer and more dynamic supply and demand than what's been posted about so far?

So please keep going Csfxtrading - I for one like this kind of supply and demand!
I'll start a thread later on that focuses on the institutional flow.

Just to contribute above discussion about volume , I really did not see any edge of it.
Even for stocks trading unless it is a breakout volume to support an idea, and as a screening tool for stocks,

Until I started to really deeply research volume I came to the same conclusion. But volume doesn't exist with retail fx brokers just a load of noise that is not there to help!

However if you take a view of the bigger picture using properly formulated volume from all the big boys it can only help not hinder.

I think this is what the guy in the Clearstreamfx posts is trying to get over to us. If you can use a feed showing genuine forex volume and learn how to use it the edge must be phenomenal because you can see what no other trader has access to.

That's the way I see it.

Retail understanding of volume is a complete disaster but it's exactly the edge that the banks have on your trading and that of the other 90%

If you see the activity of the institutions selling as they start to, it's their wallets that puts your trades into profit. Their volume cumulatively that moves the markets all the while THEY allow you the leverage of your money unwittingly at the expense of minute slices of loss - or more competition for the same profit they are fighting for.

To me Csfxtrading & stuuk is same person
but it doesn't matter, I know everyone here will respect rules of the thread and Akt's work
