Does anybody have any idea why no trades were opened in last 12 hours since I've set the EA up? I guess it should be a trade already. I also have it running on my other mt4 terminal with H1,H4,D1 settings and also no trades were opened. I'm also running the dashboard on H1 and got a Sell alert on GBPUSD 16min ago. But the EA did not open any trade.

Yep, there was a Sell signal on GBPUSD, on H1 with 50% ADR. So, the Dashboard is working normally, but the EA setting seems ok to me too. You may want to attach the EA to the EURUSD chart which receive more tick on chart to get the EA moving.

Did this and no trade opened. NZDUSD was an alerts on H1 using the dashboard but the EA did not open the trade. Strange...

Maybe is the ECN suffix fault?

i have suffix and works fine. did you allow automated trading in 'Option - Expert Advisors'?

yes ofcourse, well it has to be something with the broker. I used IC markets and it works fine.

Hi, been using this EA for about a week.

Is there any chance you can added where once it touches midpoint it closes a percentage of the trade and put a break even and closes the rest of the trade once it touches the oposite band.

This thread has run its course and I've decided to back away from FF -- so, I'm gracefully shutting it down by restricting posts to red badges only. I have nothing more to add and there will be no more modifications or enhancements to the software -- it already works perfectly, right? The content and posts remain, just no more new posting. @bishopdotun's thread remains (https://www.forexfactory.com/showthread.php?t=930790) and that is now the place to head if you wish to share results.

This thread and project meant (and still means) a lot to me. I've learned a ton about trading and people. I think it was a very unique endeavor here at FF in that it was a collective effort. The thread took a few turns here and there as it evolved and members shared ideas and feedback. And thanks to many contributors -- in particular @bishopdotun -- we now have the BDX reversal strategy. Plus indicators!! Plus EAs!! No where else at FF...

I'm still around -- I'm not going anywhere. I love trading forex, trying new things, always experimenting. I trade a portfolio of strategies -- reversal, index / basket and, more recently, hedge-grid and zigzag look-back. FF is sort of addicting and, to be honest, fills a social gap -- but it's time for me to move on. Though I'm old, I still work (I own a software company). Plus, I'm working on a project that excites me and requires more time and attention -- and, I'll share a little bit about that here. But it's still confidential, so please don't tell anyone else

My son is an accomplished developer and engineer, and in collaboration with @bishopdotun we've created a web-based trading platform for index / basket trading. The reason it is web-based is not only to allow access from anywhere but, more importantly, to allow access from smart phones. Whereas spoiled people like myself who live in Western countries are surrounded by laptop and desktop computers we can use for running MT4, people in poorer countries don't have that luxury -- but they do have smart phones. And, yes, I'm familiar with MT4 Mobile -- but you can't run indicators, EAs or offline charts, let alone an index / basket trading strategy using MT4 mobile.

@bishopdotun and a colleague are developing a curriculum (that uses the web-based platform) as a means for introducing forex trading to young people in rural Nigeria. In areas of the country where people get by on less than $5 /day -- not including drinking and partying -- @bishopdotun tells me -- a few dollars more each week can be a game-changer. It can also give young people hope there is a way to break out of the poverty. And forex trading lends itself to this type of environment. Consider a smart, motivated young person who is otherwise trapped in poverty -- would they appreciate an opportunity to learn a skill that provides a path out or, at least, a qualitative improvement in their life? So, that's where we're at.

Another thing -- I learned that @Nih98 recently died -- and that took a lot of wind out of my sails. He was both a friend and mentor to many here at FF. A reminder we don't live forever and we should at least attempt to make a difference while we can.

And I'll close by sharing with you my favorite music to trade by -- Roger Ridley's "Tears On My Pillow". He died in 2005 at 59 years -- much too young...

So sorry to hear about NIh98, a truely great trader and I was grateful he shared with me in depth his great hedging strategy, one I use now every day.
