No nonsense Forex - VP

hey Gang ....

I started this new thread here in commercial - as i was not permitted on the discussion channel (talking to mods on that)

anyway

just wanted to flag up an interesting newish kid on the Block who goes by the name of VP (no its not me, i'm NVP)....

Patrick trades out of Las Vegas Nevada and has created a Free Blog / Website / Podcast series and youtube channel

he has created quite a stir in the last year or so and accumulated thousands of followers

He has openly challenged many myths about the Forex market trying to assist traders to become more profitable - no punches pulled...and i like that ...

its all free and i can assure you I have no commercial relationship with patrick ....just always happy to share out interesting and more original views on forex ...especially those that are disruptive and challenge the norm....

We dont share the same opinion on how successful Forex Strengthmeters indicators can be ......but thats just because we are all different and there are many many ways to be profitable in trading ......thats what makes it so interesting.........

Patrick recently discussed Forex Strengthmeters / Indicators ....interesting views and he does concede that although it didnt work for him there could be possibilities

he mentioned about a week of intensive investigation but not being able to make anything decent work or beat his own systems......Fair enough ...a week is nothing

Ive been using Strengthmeters for nearly 20 years now and it did take me a few years working with some great programmers and traders to get my bespoke systems in place .......everything in trading takes time and persistence beore any success is seen

Interesting guy yes. Although, I have a feeling he will soon be looking to charge people for his "algorithm" once he has enough followers who understandably can't locate these elusive indicators he keeps saying exist out there. Just like ICT swore he would NEVER charge for his teachings and then did just that. What these self-proclaimed experts don't realize is that most of us would GLADLY pay them to teach a system that REALLY works. Instead they are really just interested in monetizing a system that is way more complicated than it needs to be. Just my opinion.

P.S. If anyone has located any of these indicators VP talks about, here is a good place to share them and prove me wrong.

Watched a lot of his video, it is very much so his way or no way. He thinks he has created something new but there are plenty of people out there advocating total indicator based systems. One indicator to get in, one to get out etc, nothing new here.

Possible only difference is he says to use new indicators and not the stock ones like stochastic's, MACD and MA's but have seen him use SMA as a baseline to help filter trades so a bit contradictory right there. I'm not into indicators anymore, when i started yes i fell in that rabbit hole but i presume even new ones are just modified stock indicators, well they are all a derivative of price anyway so to some degree do the same as stock indicators but have somewhat modified settings.

He stresses in his video that everything like support and resistance, supply and demand, price action does not work and is why most people fail which is actually not the case if you do some research. Mainly its risk management or lack of it is why a lot of people fail and people depositing low amounts of money and trying to flip accounts and blowing it.

To end, who is this guy anyway? No track record like all these other "gurus" and preaching things he has not backed up while calling everything else garbage is actually pretty hilarious to me. He would be the first prop trader i have ever heard of who trades with charts that look like Christmas tress with all the indicators. Something is not right here, he can for sure talk the talk.

Patrick (VP) has brought a different twist to the game in terms of marketing ......he charges nothing so in terms of critique on his methods
its no better or no wore than any other free indicator

Well he doesnt need to, he is already making money on youtube, asking money via patreon donations and crypto account as well as being a brokers affliate. And oh Amazon affliate links on his blog. The guy pretended he was doing this for altrustic reasons and thousands of sheep bought into it.

And yeah, soon he will start charging for his magic indicator based Algo. LOL I cant believe people are so gullible to fall for this, thinking he is any different from other youtube forex furus. He just regurgitates some of the same information and opposes some of the popular information to create controversy. The guy is a master internet marketer, I will give him that, he knows how to court attention and monetize in ways that are not so obvious to general public.

His income is youtube and internet marketing not trading. I dont have a problem with that, but NononsenseForex is not honest upfront, he pretended otherwise while he was grooming followers to trust him then go commercial later.

Well yeah, its an effective marketing tactic to bash other gurus and expose them as "scams", that way you get people to trust you and its a way to stand out with so many educators around, especially when you are coming to industry this late in the game.Yeah I dont get how this guy is gaining so much trust and popularity in the forex world without showing any evidence of profitability or any credentials that he knows what he is talking about.

some good points guys ...........yes there are enormous opportunies now for VP to harvest the trust generated from his followers

im actually on the 2 discord groups for his NNFX and the secondary lower Timeframe Group ....where basically anything goes

I think theres at least 4,000 on the NNFX group now ...thats pretty big numbers

just a matter of time before some of these memebrs are offering commercial algos and systems

but thats the business ............i'm a commercial forex vendor and training Coach but hav'nt done anything for probably 5-10 years now as i dont have the time and energy at the moment to train and trade........but i take my hat off to him and his team if their ultimate strategy was to harvest this

I’ve been following VP’s channel for some time now. To everyone claiming he will start charging people for his algo, that is completely untrue. He’s addressed these claims in a recent podcast and called out these people who wrongly assumed he would charge.

I think he’s an extremely eloquent guy, great podcast and he truly does talk about the things no one else out there talks about. Even if you don’t agree with his purely technical strategy, the structure he FREELY gives out on things like money management and risk assessments is something worth looking.

The Fx “education” market, as many of you know is completely saturated with the same bogus resistance/ trend line, RSI, Fib mumbo jumbo. These People make more money on their ‘copy/paste educational packages’ than they do actually trading. It’s becoming so saturated with scammers that it becomes very refreshing to see someone as authentic as VP.

He’s very cut throat, to the point, and openly asks people to avoid watching his videos and studying his strategy if they disagree so heavily.

So overall, there’s really nothing to lose.

i was hoping VP would run a clean no charge ship...

watch out for his followers though ....a few are starting to run tutorials and video channels selling NNFX.....i will warn him ....but its his call

So he brought out a Prop firm video for a firm call Maverick. He works/used to work for them. There are lots of fee associated with joining this firm $6,000 up front for their education, do a 50 trade trial on simulator that cost $200 per month(remember No Nonsense tells you trade daily, this 50 trades will take a long time and consume $200 per month)

Say you make it through this, then you HAVE to deposit $5000 and they will fund the rest $20000.
Sounds good? Well you are not allowed to lose any of their $20,000, its is essentially just leverage

This is not a prop firm and looks like the whole youtube thing has been a build up to get people to go for this absolute rubbish.
Very clever marketing i have to hand it to him and the by the pure ridiculous comments his followers leave on his videos, a lot of them will flock here since they are hooked in.

This VP guy is only making money out of youtube advertising and brokerage kickbacks. He blocks any negative commentary on his youtube videos. The day he can proof anything, like with an actual account statement, is the day that everybody will be severely disappointed.

VPs money management and pyschology playlist are gold. I've moved away from indies based trading which is why I havent mentioned the techinical analysis playlist but the rest are brilliant for newbies like me.

Are you sure about crypto account?
Because I remember him saying that he would never invest money in something he does not understand how it really works...

I want to ask something I make this ques...on the discord to no one showing some results or some progres only becktesting I can show a backtesting to but thats not a traiding why evrybody are so angry when I ask them for some ressults I cant understend that, I think is some kind of scheem
