I trade price action too and even with that you lose sometimes so?
Price went to my target and that's what matters.

The point is that you act again like you took the entry because of a specific ruleset involving PA and TA, while in fact you was just speculating in news outcome. As said before: Nothing wrong with that. But then please be truthful and say "I'm short EC because I think the CAD news will be good." And not "I'm short EC because line X crossed over line Y while line Z was on a downslope." You're only not fooling yourself with that, but others too.

OR I'm short because i see a DS with RSIOMA sloping down and the news provided me the fuel to reach the target.
I said my reason why i'm short and didn't mention about the news so does it mean i'm lying,is it?
It's not like i'm giving signals to people here,in fact i'm trying to show to newcomers how the system behave if they wanna learn.
I have learned,mastered and perfected to my needs this system so i know what works and what doesn't.
And so far DS with RSIOMA setups are the most reliable signals i get.
And news...most of them are priced in already, some are not.
Losses happens and wins too,it's a game of probabilities.
I played what the system told me to,so i followed the rules.
NFP day is the only time that i avoid to trade.

Look at this one...
First DS short worked out even with the news.
Second DS is long and worked out for 20 pips...it's a winner,breakeven or loser trade, all depends of the trader.

No, of course not. But in the end it is the same: You speculated that the news worked in your favor. And that's my only complain: That you don't mention the upcoming news.

That's great, seriously. But if your posts aim at newcomers, you should mention that a red news is coming up in half an hour, which could make the whole setup not only invalid, but could even cause serious slippage, which may cause higher than expected losses.

The expectations are priced in. And you saw with the NZD trade what could happen when the actual news deviates from the expectations. Depending on how good or bad the news - and your broker - is, you can get a 100 to 150 pips spike in a second, which just shoots through your 25 pips S/L and fills you 50 pips later.
The OP warned against trading through news, preferring to get into the market after news events, if I recall earlier posts correctly.

Nevertheless its clear that many technical traders (subject to strategy, timeframe etc) choose to ignore news except for NFP. They take the view that in the long run negative slippage will be balanced by positive slippage etc.

I'm not sure there is any duty to point any of this out to newcomers though as this thread is not for teaching the basics of the FX market. I believe that babypips website is for that.

Trading news isn't the problem. "Confirmation bias" is. I find it a bit weird (or "dishonest" so to say) to use any form of TA as explanation that a trade succeeded, when in fact only the news was the cause for the success. Not because "line X crossed over line Y" or something like that. This might have been the reason to enter the trade, yes. But anybody could have applied any system - or none - the outcome would have been the same, as long as the news comes out in favor of the trade direction.

Yes, but that's kind of self evident, and I don't think we need to be qualifying ourselves every time we post an individual trade example. I agree of course if all someone did was post a set up before a news event that ended up to their advantage that would be a nonsense.

As a matter of fact Markets are driven by the news. We can call them "fundamentals" and of course we have to take them into consideration in trading.
I like to say that I trade "confluence" between fundi and t.a. What does it mean?
For istance: there is turmoil in Iran? well then I'll look to buy Oil and therefore I open my charts on Oil and look for a good opportunity (and a Alien pattern) to enter long. NZB is previewed to cut the rate? so I'll look to sell NZD against the stronger currencies.
To me this is not to trade the news in strict sense but to trade "confluence" or, if you prefer, to trade both fundi and tech. together.
This is my two cent.

I don't want to call anyone dishonest here. I apologize if that came out wrong. Thats why I put "dishonest" in quotes. It feels difficult to explain what I mean. If you trade into the news, the result of your trade - win or loss - has nothing to do with TA or any system applied, but solely what the numbers of the news said and how the market reacted.

So if you trade into the news, simply say it and don't mark areas of crossing lines or slopes on your chart. As said before: Crossing lines and slopes might be a technical reason to enter a trade, but the immediate outcome has nothing to do with the slopes or the lines crossing.

I don t use mtf indicators...because of know problems...one is the slow working testing...
Tested instead filter DDS 32, 52, 36 which simulates H4 ....settings not better than only DDS...
Reset the trade explorer #10 to the best 8 pairs and will let it run till 0% or 100%....You will see what happens...

nice alert, pls, it is possible to have an arrow when the criteria are completed?, it would help a lot to do backtestest and to see the signal in real time,
