The choice of a currency pair for trading is not at all as simple as it might seem at first glance, in this case you should adhere to some rules and take into account the peculiarities of trading for each instrument. I base my choice of a currency pair on such indicators as: volatility, trading strategy and the complexity of the forecast rate. First, define your goals, if your'e just starting to trade, then do not pursue profit, but prefer stability. That's, choose not very volatile pairs that will protect your deposit. The most stable currency...

I'm not sure if we can call eur/usd volatile pair.My ADR indicator shows 42 pips per day average per last 10 days.
Personally I've stopped even scalping this pair, because because I'm tired to wait few hours for 10 pips move.
If you want to suggest volatile pair try something like gbp/nzd ,170.6 pips per day for last 10 days.
I'd says everything depends on trading time, style and method.
Whether you think you can, or you think you can't,you're right. H.F.

EUR/USD is, of course, a classic of trading, the most famous and sought-after currency pair. There is a lot of information, analytics and strategies on it. In addition, its trading volumes are the largest, which affects the size of the spread. In some brokers, it's only 0.5 points, which is very good for short-term strategies and allows to make money on it.

This pair is quite volatile, so you can trade intraday on it. It's very influenced by the news and is relatively easier to analyze. So it is suitable both for beginners, since there are a lot of robots and manuals on it, as well as for experienced traders who will get the most out of the analysis of EU and US reports.

{quote} It depends on your trading style. But I agree that for beginners the best pair is EURUSD. I am trading for 7 years, last 5 years I am earning money and 90% of my trades are with EURUSD.

That’s really great! I am sure, now you are using more than one pair! But starting with a limited number is the best choice.

I concur, branching out to trading new instruments should be done slowly and carefully.

any trading pair is good but it can be your best if you practice in demo for a long time. i always try to enhance my trading performance rapidly by trading all pairs in demo and sometimes in a micro.

Usually at least, but different traders have different views and different strategies, the important thing is for them to work.
