I'm not going to engage with some rando from Mexico. Don't worry about it guys.

I mean, lets look at the situation. On one hand, we have someone that has made their living in the markets - be it analysis, trading, education, writing, videos, and newsletters for the last seven years. He works on some of the largest sites in the world of FX trading.

On the other hand, we have a new trader that is probably swinging a large account of like 500 USD looking for attention. He lives in a place where you can't even drink the water, and will be poor next year as well.

I have seen these trolls before, and that's why I don't get upset about it. They blow up and eventually assume there is no way to make a profit. They go away, right along with their account balances. Those of us that have been trading for years know the reality of trading isn't the yacht, etc. Its about steady returns. He will get that someday. It will more than likely be too late, but he will learn it.

Oh well - I saw something in the oil markets, posting below.

You started this thread 10 years ago. And still haven't made enough money to trade on your own and are forced to beg for backing from semi-fraudulent fake prop shops. That's "the situation", scrub.

I'm not going to dissect your comments, but out of curiosity...how much money would he (or anyone for that matter) need for you to consider him a success? Do you often go to internet forums to discern people's net worth?

But bottom line, this is a TRADING forum. Are there particular trades you have an issue with that he's posted? I.e. the last trade of Chris I noticed was a warning on Silver, when he made that video on 9/4 and posted it at 11am. If you were to have sold out and/or shorted Silver at $19.45 and held to today, you'd be up about $9k per contract. I don't know what size your trading, nor do i care, but that's real money and I like making money.

If you've got some trading ideas, let's hear them, if not well i'm not sure what you're trying to accomplish -- warning people about such horrible trading advise?

It's not about net worth or a particular number. I would define him as a success if after 10 years of trading:

1) had enough to trade his own money

or

2) had enough to trade his own money AND managed a legit fund with OPM to make even more money

With #2 being ranked much higher than#1.

As we know neither is the case here. I have a problem with this dude positioning himself to the people here as some kind of a guru full of trading wisdom. A guru he is not.

Literally everyone has enough to trade their own money - you can open an Oanda account with $10.

Where can i invest money with you -- you seem like you have this locked down!

Again, after 10 years he feels the need to beg semi-fraudulent fake prop shops for backing. You can keep throwing up these weak, intellectually dishonest arguments but you're not making him or yourself look any better in the process.

OK, listen, I just watched your silly USDZAR downsloping triangle video basically recommending a short with a target in the 13s. Do you even realize we're hours away from a very negative Moody's review of SA's sovereign debt? And you're talking about 13s? What kind of a trader are you? This is irresponsible. To release garbage without even being aware of the major macro developments imminent with the unit.

So what you expect us to believe is that some random Mexican retail trader knows more than the large firms. Makes sense. You knew that, I knew that, and so did anyone else. (It was baked into the price.) I am a technical analyst, and therefore call the charts how I see them.

Three days later and the trade is still profitable. Besides, why in the actual fuck are you stalking me? There must be something wrong with you. Perhaps you are attracted to me?

Having said that, if I want any lip from you, I will jingle my zipper.

For anyone else reading this thread, and worried about learning to trade:

This a perfect example of why trading news is for morons. The markets sniff about 90 percent of this out ahead of time. The downgrade coming was reported about two weeks ahead of time. The banks/firms/funds won't wait until the announcement to press a button. You also don't have the speed to compete with the machines. I know of a company that produces a lot of video content in the futures markets that has spent almost 2 million dollars developing the latest system they use. This is a mug's game if you are trying to trade this way.

This is the point: Markets will do what they do. Not what they are 'supposed to do.'

Also, here is some free advice: Leave these forums, they are horrible. There is a reason my posts have become less frequent. There is only so much you can gain. Trading is really simple, its the psychology that makes it difficult. Trade with the trend, aim for 10 to 1.....keep your cool. Congrats, you are a profitable trader. (Or some variation of that bullshit.)

As for the rest, I like the calendar here. That's about it these days. God I miss the days when Merlin ran the joint......

Been test driving ThinkOrSwim this week and I must say i've been impressed thus far. InteractiveBrokers had always been the gold standard for me, but ToS compares very favorably and has much better charting functionality than IBKR has. Futures & Forex also integrated w/ their Stock/ETF trading as well. I think I'll slowly start moving more of my assets there.

Yeah, I have used it myself. Not too bad....the platform is better than IB, but the amount of markets isn't quite there. I guess it really comes down to what you are looking for. Now that they are all basically no commissions, things should get interesting.....

They have this in the EU as well. I agree about the regulation. Unfortunately, I cannot trade ToS for Forex - Ohio is one of like two states they don't allow. It has something to do with a local law. I believe New Mexico is the other one.....

This forum does really attract some "relentless" types. It's a shame because most of the wisest commentary that I have read has been written by individuals who have ended being hounded out.

I've enjoyed your posts Chris and am still working through some of the older ones. Can I ask where you post or share your content these days? I would love to keep following.
