By the way I'm not promoting his services nor am I a member! But he does say some very good stuff as far as catching big and reliable set-ups

Yes I agree. One step at a time. I am reading and analyzing everyday. Hopefully the good days are coming soon.

I am mainly looking to get better and better in identifying the weakness and strengths because imo every up or down move is based or starts on these principles and other confirmations and tests follow after weakness or strength appears in the background. Would like Malcolm to give his input on this.

Yes I notice this thread has been going for nearly 10 years. Malcolm knows what he's talking about no doubt about that! No after the fact trades, "cash and collect" and all that sort of nonsense here thank God!!

Understanding, identifying and trading key distribution or accumulation areas is the key to success and I'm sure that VSA helps towards that goal.

A lot of bullS*** in that thread. And Akim is a demo trader. (is why he can never show a live TE) I can tell for awhile now I just don't want to say it. It's obvious sometimes he traded NFP/FOMC with sell stops without getting a slippage. Duh lol. Oh boy his fans are gonna flame me now A lot of newbies are getting hooked with those after the fact trades it's so funny. I'm not going to be surprised if there is a hidden commercial agenda there.

For me volume is easy, what I do is look for volume climax and then retest with low volume (reversal) or volume climax then retrace with low volume (healthy trend). I use sonic volume from PVRSA thread you can get it there. I posted my short opinion on gold after Friday close of NFP for last weeks Monday opening that's one good example. I posted it in the famous "AFTER THE FACT MASTER" guy thread."

couldnt agree more - absolute baloney that thread! I followed for a few weeks and realised its just utter nonsense.....cash and collect, cash and collect, 30+ lots at a time!

Hi mate great to see you on board here. I'm sure Malcolm will be getting a lot more enlightened traders from that thread moving over here once they realise what the hell is going on over there! LOL is all I can say!! And yes you're right - demo trades!

Thanks for the link on sonic volume - I will test it out for sure. Great to be part of a thread where sanity prevails!

I use it mainly on H4. Anything less is not that reliable. Also need a good broker as you know MT4 is tick chart volume not real volume.

OK yes - here's my H4 chart using the system - looks OK on backtest? Will see how it goes going forward of course!

Not sure if it's ok for us to talk about different system here. I was just passing by. But on my M15 I got a double bottom setup on gold. Only hit TP2 for now. Haven't hit TP3 yet.

Yeah volume is low bud. If gold I think we range today with last weeks low being support. If they break last weeks low today with this low volume tomorrow I buy it. hah hah depends on how far the goons take it down though. Yeah I am watching as well.

Quiet day to day on the markets but still some pretty decent trades.

Just for those learning i will run over some of the set ups in some videos later.

I traded a little dax to the down side for a few points ... was not that focused due to the US holiday today.
