It is "brute force" when you write a custom function with a loop that already returns the same result that a built-in function does, and the built-in function is likely highly optimized to run efficiently.

Could someone please help to insert a condition that if this is [DAX30] in the chart the scale is divided by 10 in both those indis?

I agree, besides speed, iLowest not only has value in terms of returning the position of indexing the Low, you may not necessarily be needing the Low of that position but any other value contained therein

Hey stalkerMT4, are you trying to write code in some other language than mql4 that will emulate mql4 functions??

i have severals indicators written in mql4 and i must convert them in C#: so i don't have emulate, i must get the same exact results.

i have issues with one of those indicators because i cant' access the source code of global functions such Ilowest, iHighest, so i have write them based on the (very bad) documentation of mlq4: this is why i'm here and i made questions: i'm a total newbie in mql4 (but skilled in other languages).

You can interpret data in any format you need or want. Anyway, be aware of resources consuming issues.

OK, so you are taking mql4 code and converting to C# code, not to NinjaScript. It was not clear that this is what you are doing. So that explains the "brute force" code. LOL

If you don't really care about implementing a C# version of iLowest that returns the index to the lowest value, but would like a custom function that returns the VALUE instead of the INDEX, take a look at C# array methods skip, take, and min. You can probably return the minimum VALUE of your array in one simple line.
