This is the slope coloring version of fast nma series,it is really fast,try playing with and exercising different parameters advised.

Mladen : This is the ocean nma fast 2 indicator in which proprietary smoothing is used for pre and post smoothing (both can be applied/exercised or any combination of the two can be used - it all depends on parameters). it is smoother than the original and since it is smoother slope coloring makes sense as a kind of current trend direction identifier.

PS : if used for trend finding out,i think that,as with any indicator,higher time frames are recommended (at least 1 hour chart in my opinion)

What ever level of smoothing users can be invent/format - an best alternative to TMA,smoother MA and alike indicators but still it stays close to price line,neither overshoot,in example picture,white smoothed nma,deep pink tma,gold smoother ma,all with same 14 per,price close,when nma using default 8 per smoothing (that can be increased/decreased)

I must say that I am a bit surprised how Sloman's (and Pat Rafalovitch's as the first one that was developing tradestation code for Sloman's stuff) indicators are underestimated while they are based on a very sound theory and are producing quite acceptable results (compared to a lot of others).

Yes boss - and thanks for your confirmation the reliability & valuable performance of Ocean indicators,my big appreciations for your entire creativity and contribution of all these stuff/variations including a lot more for trading community.

As of the continuation,here is a slightly different smoothing capable ver,it is using "super smoother" for smoothing too along with the previous versions using "Ehler's two pool" smoother formula,both choices with true/false.
As you can see the difference in demonstrating pic,blue deep pink lines using Ehlers smoothing and white orange col lines using super smoothing (SSM),rest of all parameters are same.
Other than using it independently a user can have a better use/choice as crossing indicators too.

NMA period -> period of ndx calculation
NMA price -> price to use in calculation
TEMA period -> period for pre processing tema (tripple EMA) smoothing for price
Smooth period -> period for post processing smoothing of NMA result (two pole smoother applied)
