I think that trying to view the market right now, after this rather big mess of the news, that might be understood, interpreted and settle first..
is like trying to locate the pain after you have a major tooth ache.. hurts everywhere I think we shall wait till at least end of this week but more likely till at least the middle of the next.. to see how all this settles down... Would still beth on SOUTH though But would like to get at least some form of "confirmation" about this, from the market.. instead of gamble after this blast of news...
Can you afford to take that chance?

I think Sponge is right about 55 being an attractor--until it isn't.

Crude CME front month is over the $55 handle. It looks like it's going to be the new support if it holds. WTI could have some short term upside potential here.

At 1H, the high and low prices are rounded down.
It is attention whether it falls below 54.43.
At the very least, you don't want to be long without exceeding the latest high.

Looking at 4H, we are near the uptrend support line.
If you fall below this, the trend may change and move downward.
