I’d like to be able to try to get on the leaderboard but don’t think I’ll be able to with 50:1 leverage I’m limited here in US most people on there have 500:1 I believe

its 1.30 here in the UK but we are allowed foreign brokers like IC they give high lev

not my point woz just to show that you can pick a pair i would of tested it .... dont underestimate backtesting it can tell you alot about about your system and it makes you aware of how the market flows i scroll forward 1 candle at a time testing i dont use the tester

also i feel testing will give you confidence always test for 100 trades then evaluate

double edge sword i feel you will have good and bad runs during testing i had a run of 7 loses thats extrem but it highlted to me how quikly things can get out of hand with over leveraging i think 3% is aressive enough peronaly

Sorry to correct you, but a lot of viewers here are learners who might agree with ones wrong perception or miss belief. Let me explain why back testing won't do any good. But to understand that, let me start with the source. The Market. Market is driven by human behavior. Becouse it is human behavior, it has the tendency to repeat itself. And also, it is inconsistent. So if back testing one system, method will only give you result. Back testing it again will give you another... and another, and so on. Different result every time. It may be a huge winner the first one, but a looser the second one. Becouse market behave in inconsistent, unpredictable and affected by some other factor. Observe it in a almost same identical situations, still will give you different direction. So back testing it will prove you nothing. Correct me if im wrong.. i am open to your point of view and willing to change my perception if proven wrong.

i gues its subjective for me bactesting with rules stops and targets gives me valuble data percentages. i scroll back through a chart and print 1 candle at a time with with f12 on mt4 . i dont think much of the EA tester its to easy to tune them to make them look good historically i can tune any EA to work historicaly

i use price action candles with fibs and dow thereoy elit wave and harmonics i dont think theres an EA that can do that there to many variables

BB i know you like zigzag and head and shoulder and SR and 1272 for dynamic SR

but a zig zag is a harminic and eliot wave pattern

You can tune EA to work historically, how about the almost identical situation but market moves different directions every time in an inconsistent way. The future events. And when you back tested it, have you tried to back test it again and gave you same results?

yeh agreed mate - and isnt that the point, everything is linked somehow, right sometimes, wrong sometimes.....fibs nearly always line up at some previous / support level, fractals the same, moving average crossovers soemtimes work (doesnt everything in a decent trend! ), ao, stochs, volumes etc....all the same. It comes down to learning how to use them to suit however it is u want to trade....everyones different, has different rules, different plans....different success, different failure. Its bloody hard knowing when to the pull the trigger.....only practice, practice, practice works in my mind - naked chart, cluttered chart....all the same....just have to get on with it in ur own little world, and cross ur fingers, pray to god u get more winners than losers!

need 2 types of EA one that works in trend and one for range just need a good eye for sr to know where to use them
like anything you use you keep using it becouse it does well but it doesnt mean it will awlays work

Yes I love to zigzag. But I use stochastic signals for that. And for every thing else... just identifying important levels and play within. I am still in the process of learning though, long way to go. Trying hard to learn Digs levels. Im still bullbearing out of levels. Like digs noticed me, Zigging the Zag, and Zagging the zig. (Out of tune). Lol
