{quote} Hi JustyJust That 4h zone you have set a trade at is a continuation pattern. You can only trade continuation zones with the trend on the TF they are in. When price arrives to that zone, it will be against the trend on that TF. When we we are trading in a higher TF zone we can only trade S&F at original zones (peak or valley for supply or demand respectively) on our entry TF or wait for confirmation zones to form. MiyagiFX

Ok awesome, this i did not know! My idea was trying to get a more exact entry in that daily zone

Ok thought i'd give this a go because i have never posted a potential trade here. Monthly we have hit Monthly demand(i reduced the zone to the wick once it came into it). So we should be looking for longs only Daily we can see two demands inside the Monthly zone On 4hr i have outlined a possible trade but i will wait to see it at that level. My zone colors are Monthly(Grey), weekly (Pink), Daily (orange) 4hr (Green) Let me know your thoughts!! {image}{image}{image}{image}

Hello JustyJust
Welcome to T.I.O.F
Glad you posted your idea on the NZDUSD. Thanks for the share

If i may, firstly, seeing that you are starting with a top down analysis from the monthly, i would suggest not going beyond the daily chart for entry
Secondly, i think the process you have outlined is quite good and follows the most important criteria for chart work

Now, here is something to consider.
The monthly trend is down, as is its momentum
The weekly trend is down but its downside momentum ended with close of trade yesterday
Entering on the daily for a long trade is an aggressive entry if one is starting out and getting to grips with the moving parts of trend across timeframes
I would encourage you to wait for more evidence of that monthly level taking control of price movement before going long.
You will see that on the weekly chart. Keep an eye on that chart.
It will require you to be patient which can be a challenge for most of us psychologically....

Again, thanks for sharing and keep following the process. That is all we can control, not outcomes

best wishes

Ok cheers, yeah i never thought of that. I was just thinking because it is at that lower monthly demand that we look for only longs but i will wait for weekly to show its hand first and more evidence the monthly is in control. Thanks for your help

Hello again Family,

Trade ive taken this week were: CADCHF, GBPUSD, AUDCAD, EURJPY, EURNZD

Taken profit: CADCHF @ 0.75047 > 0.75663
Current active trade (as well as in profit): GBPUSD, AUDCAD, EURJPY, EURNZD

I have shown pre-trade set-up on GBPUSD October 17th that has triggered my Short limit order and currently still active. Same also with the AUDCAD and the update for the AUDCAD near my TP area.
But these are my other trades the EUR JPY and the EUR NZD. The EURJPY was a level on level so made things tricky to enter so i have halved my position size and re-entered again with confirmation.

Please critique my charts.

P.s. i have a very poor chart hygiene im trying to improve this overtime.

Enjoy weekend !

USDCAD 1/4hr ML broken while in an HTF weekly (unoriginal) zone.

Would you guys just set a pending order in the zone with the yellow circle? would you wait for it to take out the zone above for an extra confirmation? What would be your course of action for entering this trade. I know Akt is short biased usdcad based on the bigger picture so just be cautious when taking a long.

edit: the first supply zone above is on the hourly timeframe, which you can't see clearly in this chart.

it will be considered broken in 10 mins after candle closes, then you just take the origin of the move as per the rules. My question is, what would you do if on an even lower TF (1hr), you find a valid CP that broke the ML?

Would you take the 1hr CP or the 4hr peak/valley?

Stick to your entry TF. If you go lower you are always going to find more zones in zones and start questioning which ones to take. Pick your 2-3 TFs and don’t bother looking at any other TFs...you will just over complicate things.

Hi All and especially Akt.

I actually found you through one of your students (I am always interested where people learned from as mentors is far and few) and now busy catching up on the thread.
Still a way to go but I just wanted to tip my hat in the knowledge you are sharing.

Will join the chat when I am fully up to date.

Regards
PJ

Hi bleeze

Are your trades market execution? You entries aren't set at a zone but look as though you saw a slight reaction to that D1 SZ and just decided to enter, no S&F entry or confirmation.....

Hi Guys,

I've been following this thread for a while now and watched AKT's videos. I think I'm on page 43 of the thread. I get everything taught here, except for one thing. I can't seem to grasp the concept of when one zone takes out another zone. What does it become? Inheritance and all that. Can you please explain that to me in more detail? I think this is the only missing piece of the puzzle. After that, I might attempt to start drawing my supply and demand zones with more confidence and even start with a demo account. Before that, I will post a full summary of what I have learnt so far so that you guys can correct me if I'm on the wrong path.

Thank you

full disclosure, i haven't read this thread to the extent you have.

an inherited zone is a zone that has not taken out an opposing zone by itself, it was a subsequent zone that caused the removal of that zone

Hi tuauntm,

I concur with this setup, I have it on my charts. Don't forget to draw the fresh weekly DZ that broke the down TL though.

Hello MiyagiFX
Thanks for the help.
I have learned how to trade when price is high / low in the curve (price in weekly supply/ demand zone) when I followed you for a long time.
But I still don't understand the trading strategy when price is in the middle of curve.
Looking forward to your help
Tuantm
