I would have preferred for the 4hr DZ to have taken out those highs but its so close to doing that, i can understand why you considered it.

Thank you dear Akt, I read somewhere in the thread that we draw the downward trendline from the last 2 obvious peaks RBD, is that long wick is considered as a peak? because I don't see the base there!

I didn't set take profit order at this one. 1:3 ratio already hit. Most likely -- market doesn't want to go up and I will end up at stop loss. Time will tell

Hi Mr.PhiBo,

That trade is at a continuation pattern (RBR) and when price came back to it, the momentum/trend line has been broken so we cant set a trade there, even if it is at a higher TF zone, we still have to wait for a confirmation.

What is your reasoning for setting a trade at that 4h zone?

Hi everyone,

I've joined this thread a while ago but i was going through a life event experience that was pretty rough thus have not posted. Reviewing few pages you people are killing it! Well done!
What i know so far is that less time spent at a level (i like to use 3-6 candles) before advancing (HH,HL or LH LL) will be a zone. I use 3:1 risk reward. I may use a fibonacci (I DO NOT BELIEVE IN THEM NUMBERS FOR THEIR INTENDED USE) i draw and measure 50% to take profit. Stop loss is 10 pips away from the zone. TF i use at the moment is W,D,4H,1H. I do use the trendline as a momentum line - whenever there's a break i will scan for opportunities.
Please correct me if heading towards self destruction or on the right path?

What i'm struggling at the moment is pivot points. My question is can they qualify as zone? i have seen pivot creating a basing before price advance do they qualify as zones? i am getting a severe mental block on them.


GBPUSD - keeping in mind that the brexit deal will need to be passed through parliament. The optimism is fading and chances are it may not go through but we'll assess the charts.

GBPUSD W (black lines are zones + redline as momentum) and 4H (pink lines ***Mistake on the blue lines suppose to be pink***).
W charts demonstrates momentum is still in tact.
4H demonstrated the same and no break in momentum but a rejection pink supply zone.

If momentum line breaks on the 4H - going to look for shorting opportunity.

you have to break an egg to make an omelette...

Besides, those are just contractual names. Go to H1 and you will see drop base rally or whatever you can call it. Stock charts are multifractal scaling.

Yes if you drop down to lower time frames you will eventually see a peak (RBD) or a valley (DBR), in this instance it was on the 1h time frame....however it was not an original zone on the 1h so as per the rules we still need to wait for confirmation in that area...

This trade ended up as a loss i take it?

I took this trade too, don't think it broke many rules though, reacting to W1 and D1 DZ, look for buys, momentum TL hadn't been broken by the time price came back to that zone...I took 3:1 profit...will edit this post later with an image when I get home

I took this trade with MM method on small time frame..
