I need your help choosing a book that would be right for me...
I'm a newbie and checking some books out on Amazon and there are too many books to choose from... I am looking for the most complete book that explains from the beginning (how forex work) to fundamentals / technical analysis / techniques / money management!!!

Please help as I do not know what book to start with!!!

PS I have a little exprience in stock and option trading, not sure if that would help me in forex trading!!!

If you're serious about learning to trade, you're going to need a lot more than one book. But the best general purpose book to get you started is Kathy Lien's "Day Trading the Currency Markets".

Also one to check out is Trading in the zone by Mark Douglas. It deals with the psychological side of trading. In my opinion it one of those must read books. Just my 2 cents. Valerie...

This is an excellent read and i keep it at my tradestation for reference. . . pulled it out last night when doing some homework as i recalled she had something to say on a particular set up i thought was appearing. Sure enough, she walked me through it. Great stuff.

If you are into price action, i have also enjoyed having Steve Nison's "Beyond Candelsticks" as a reference guide to candle formations and many examples he gives on trading certain formations.

I think the best book for understanding Forex is "Forex Revolution" by Peter Rosenstreich.

The first half of Kathy's book is good but I thought the second half was out in left field.

If you can get a book at the library, do it. Some libraries are connected all over the country. Then use your money for trading or as described earlier. If you really want candlestick knowledge I would get Nison's The Candlestick Course. Learn by doing.

I thought Technical Analysis for Dummies was an excellent book for beginners. It touches on many areas and helps you get familiar with different concepts. Then you can decide what additional reading would help.

Also, I would reccommend Getting Started with Chart Patterns by Thomas Bulkowski. It certainly helped me start thinking in terms of candlestick patterns and how to plan to trade breaks of the patterns.

The best book for a newbie is the Internet. You will find a lot of sites that will cover all the aspects presented in those books. If you went to amazon maybe you noticed that for some of the books (or for all of them) you can see the table of contents. Take a look at it, and google some of the terms described in those newbie books (ie: what's forex, how big is forex, type of charts, japanese candles, Relative Strength Index, Stochastics, Moving Average etc...). This is for saving money.
If you realy want to spend some money, then any book is good.

thank you, that's probably a good idea for a newbie like me, just to get a feel of forex, how ever this book got my attention the most...

It's pretty rare to find a forex trader that is also a good teacher. After reading Dirk - Dr.Forex's - book I realised this thing. If you want to write a book it's not enoght to be a successfull trader, you must know how to explain the things you want to the people that will read your book. And Dr. Forex know's how to explain Forex market. I really think this book is great (at least for me it is).

Another book that helped me a lot is Trading with Candlestick and Pattern (part 1 and 2).

Black Ice you are one smart fella, Get this ebook. read and the reread use what u want but it will give you a good understanding of the markets, so you can gain confidence in your trading. Good luck you wont need it.
